Not clear, dude.
The Protestant Work Ethic.
A cultural and religious concept linking diligent labor, discipline, and
frugality to spiritual duty and salvation. Working at a job is a noble
endeavor.
Hard work is a "calling", a vocation. Hard work is a service. Your labor
is not just for survival but a moral duty to honor God and Creation.
Key Principles: Avoiding luxury and self-indulgence.
Are you confessing yourself to be a christian now?

When the history of our times comes to be written, >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> itAs possible the
date of 17 November 2018 will feature prominently. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> For two
extraordinary
events rocked Europe that Saturday. Two of our most >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> populous
cities u
London and Paris u were shaken by vast gatherings of
citizens making
noisy demands of their ruling classes. And the >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> demands could not
have
been more different. One side wanted nothing less >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> than to drag
society
back into the benighted hell of pre-modern, pre- >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> industrial
existence.
The other demanded the right to drive and work and >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> live well,
free from
the onerous eco-rules of the elites. This cross- >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Channel clash of
moral
visions may well have been the first battle in the >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> war of the
vibe shift.
Gathered in London was Extinction Rebellion, the >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> death cult of
poshos
convinced EarthAs fiery end is imminent. Gathered in
Paris were the
gilets jaunes, that mass uprising of working men and
women
enraged by
Emmanuel MacronAs hike in fuel taxes in the name of >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> afighting
climate
changeA. Six thousand of XRAs doom-fearing activists
swarmed
London and
blocked five of the bridges across the Thames, as >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> they sang and
danced
and wailed, medieval-style, about the abillionsA of >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> souls who will
perish in the coming acollapse of civilisationA. It >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> was the
movementAs
first-ever aday of rebellionA. In Paris u and more >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> than a
thousand other
locations around France u a quarter of a million >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> citizens hit the
streets to slam the punitive eco-policies of their >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> rulers. It was
the
gilets jaunesA first day of rebellion, too. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
That these two movements launched on the same day is
a most
fortunate
quirk of history, for it allowed us to see with >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> crystal clarity
one of
the most cavernous dividing lines in the 21st- >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> century West...
https://www.spiked-online.com/2026/02/16/the-great- >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> revolt-
against- greenism/
So, there's this -
"Nearly all actively publishing climate scientists >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> say humans are
causing
climate change."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Scientific_consensus_on_climate_change >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
And this - on one result of climate change - Fire: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> "Similar to the current changes in the climate system
itself,
recently
observed shifts in fire activity are expected to be >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> followed by
much greater
changes in the future in the absence of rapid and >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> deep emission
reductions"
https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.adz2429 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
So, I don't know - leaving feelings or personal >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> opinion off, the
table, who do
you believe?
More important, I think, is if you believe it, are you
going to
want to reduce
emissions or not bother? If you don't believe it, the >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> subject is moot.
When it comes to climate, I think there are always two >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> things to ask:
One, what are the real world results of the increased >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> CO2 to date?
And second, how accurate have the forecasts and >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> expectations been so
far?
paraphrasing google...

My 4th grade teacher thought that religious ideas have no place in the

Are you confessing yourself to be a christian now?
The Christian ethic pervades the United States and was founded on the
principle of the Protestant work ethic. According to my fourth grade
teacher.
Which does not make it anything more than an optional attitude.
My 4th grade teacher thought that religious ideas have no place in the
class room.
It all depends on the school, public or private.
Most public schools in the US have students recite the Pledge of
Allegiance. It is commonly recited while standing at attention with the >right hand over the heart.
Did any of your teachers mention that?

"They say to me: 'You do not want the State to do it? Then you want
nothing done!'" - Frodoric Bastiat
The story you promote is that only the State can or will accomplish good >things like helping the poor, educating children, funding science, or >building infrastructure, which ignores the long history of effective >voluntary action and private charity.
Government action forces the public out of genuine voluntary
cooperation. Private non-coercive charity, mutual aid, and community
support initiatives are crowded out by state intervention, reducing
positive incentives or room for voluntary acts of assistance.
Then the advocates for the state say that private action isn't fit for >purpose because the government has taken its place to the point where it >hardly any longer exists. And further, that the people who believe
private spending is superior because it's more effective and less costly >have bad intentions and don't want to help people or advance at all.
The end result is ever more centralized control which leads to less
social flexibility and more fragile systems which are very real problems
for the survival of civilization.

We both look at the guy dumping trash off of the train and see

You and your entire ideology of inept good intentions are a fraud on
humanity.
Your unconcern for other people damns you.
"ideology of inept good intentions" Your bad intentions suffer no
such limitations, among other things, calling mine inept.
"They say to me: 'You do not want the State to do it? Then you want
nothing done!'" - Fr|-d|-ric Bastiat
My experience. If the state does not do it, then nothing will be
done, because, in situations where the state must step in, nothing was
being done.
The story you promote is that only the State can or will accomplish good
things like helping the poor, educating children, funding science, or
building infrastructure, which ignores the long history of effective
voluntary action and private charity.
Only the state can reliably and consistently and fairly accomplish
those things. Otherwise, people are mostly too occupied with their occupations and amusements to have time for much else.
Of course there are exceptional individuals who start soup kitchens,
work for relief agencies like salvation army. The bad news is that
such efforts far from meet the need.

Nonsense. Salvation army has a large well tended office building in
this little town. And their various second hand stores. They are in

cooperation. Private non-coercive charity, mutual aid, and community

positive incentives or room for voluntary acts of assistance.
bs.
Then the advocates for the state say that private action isn't fit for
purpose because the government has taken its place to the point where it
hardly any longer exists. And further, that the people who believe
private spending is superior because it's more effective and less costly
have bad intentions and don't want to help people or advance at all.
The end result is ever more centralized control which leads to less
social flexibility and more fragile systems which are very real problems
for the survival of civilization.
The end result is that libertarians are scared that they might have to
pay a dollar more than absolutely necessary to have a little bit of
police and fire department.
I say there are people who need all the help they can get, whether
from volunteer agencies or the state. Even with both, many go
unhelped.
