American military aircraft have been amassing in Britain as President
Trump threatens strikes and annexations across the globe.

A fleet of at least 14 C-17 Globemaster transport aircraft and two
heavily armed AC-130J Ghostrider gunships have landed at three RAF bases
in Suffolk and Gloucestershire since Saturday.

The Globemasters are rumoured to have been carrying at least five MH-60M
Black Hawk helicopters and one MH-47G Chinook, which are used for
special forces operations. The helicopters have been spotted in British hangars, according to unconfirmed reports.

American activity in the UK appears to be in preparation for further operations, but no details have been provided in official channels.

Most of the Globemasters touched down at RAF Fairford in
Gloucestershire, but several also landed in RAF Mildenhall and RAF
    Lakenheath in Suffolk.

Fairford is considered the main air bridge from the US into Europe, and
flight data has shown several of the Globemasters moving on to Ramstein
in Germany. An American KC-135R Stratotanker military aerial refuelling
plane also landed in Mildenhall on Tuesday after flying in from the US.

Tensions have been building in the Middle East as the Iranian regime
violently suppresses protests across the country. Three days ago, Trump
warned that the US would hit Iran rCLhardrCY if the regimerCOs forces killed demonstrators.

rCLAmerica will come to their rescue rCa We are locked and loaded and ready
to gorCY, he wrote on social media, making the prospect of American and Israeli strikes increasingly likely. The death toll among demonstrators
has since climbed to 35 people, according to Iranian activists.

Since the Venezuela attack, Trump has made more threats to annex
Greenland, which he has long argued should come under American control
to bolster the security of the western hemisphere. He has refused to
rule out using military force to occupy the island, prompting the
leaders of Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain and Denmark to
issue a joint statement on Tuesday urging his administration to stop
    making threats.

There is also speculation that US forces mayuse Britain as a platform
from which to raid a sanctioned oil tanker that is being tracked from Venezuela and heading north of UK waters. British aircraft and those of
other Nato allies are monitoring the vessel, which has hastily changed
its flag to RussiarCOs in an apparent attempt to prevent seizure by the US.

The Globemaster, one of the worldrCOs largest transport aircraft, and the smaller but more powerful Ghostrider, could potentially be used together
in a covert US operation overseas. Troops can parachute from
Globemasters into combat. The 174ft transporters are powered by turbofan engines and can carry an array of vehicles with a payload capacity
    exceeding 150,000lb.

Ghostriders are armed with a 30mm Bushmaster cannon, 105mm howitzer and Hellfire missiles, and can lay down a devastating weight of fire on targets.

Some of these aircraft took off from bases in Georgia and Kentucky,
which are home to the US ArmyrCOs 160th Special Operations Aviation
Regiment, among other units. The elite unit, better known as the Night Stalkers, operates a range of special forces helicopters and specialises
in flying units into combat at night. The unit played a pivotal role in
the mission to seize Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, and extract them
    to the US.

It is also possible that the aircraft could be used to increase special
forces operations against Islamic State in Syria after a wave of strikes
by European forces, including Britain, over the last few days.

The Ministry of Defence said it would not comment on the rCLon the
    operational activity of other nationsrCY.

Europe, and flight data has shown several of the Globemasters
moving on to Ramstein in Germany. An American KC-135R
Stratotanker military aerial refuelling plane also landed in
Mildenhall on Tuesday after flying in from the US.

Tensions have been building in the Middle East as the Iranian
regime violently suppresses protests across the country. Three
days ago, Trump warned that the US would hit Iran rCLhardrCY if
    the regimerCOs forces killed demonstrators.

rCLAmerica will come to their rescue rCa We are locked and loaded
and ready to gorCY, he wrote on social media, making the
prospect of American and Israeli strikes increasingly likely.
The death toll among demonstrators has since climbed to 35
    people, according to Iranian activists.

Since the Venezuela attack, Trump has made more threats to
annex Greenland, which he has long argued should come under
American control to bolster the security of the western
hemisphere. He has refused to rule out using military force to
occupy the island, prompting the leaders of Britain, France,
Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain and Denmark to issue a joint
statement on Tuesday urging his administration to stop making
    threats.

There is also speculation that US forces mayuse Britain as a
platform from which to raid a sanctioned oil tanker that is
being tracked from Venezuela and heading north of UK waters.
British aircraft and those of other Nato allies are monitoring
the vessel, which has hastily changed its flag to RussiarCOs in
an apparent attempt to prevent seizure by the US.

The Globemaster, one of the worldrCOs largest transport
aircraft, and the smaller but more powerful Ghostrider, could
potentially be used together in a covert US operation
overseas. Troops can parachute from Globemasters into combat.
The 174ft transporters are powered by turbofan engines and can
carry an array of vehicles with a payload capacity exceeding
    150,000lb.

Ghostriders are armed with a 30mm Bushmaster cannon, 105mm
howitzer and Hellfire missiles, and can lay down a devastating
    weight of fire on targets.

Some of these aircraft took off from bases in Georgia and
Kentucky, which are home to the US ArmyrCOs 160th Special
Operations Aviation Regiment, among other units. The elite
unit, better known as the Night Stalkers, operates a range of
special forces helicopters and specialises in flying units
into combat at night. The unit played a pivotal role in the
mission to seize Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, and
    extract them to the US.

It is also possible that the aircraft could be used to
increase special forces operations against Islamic State in
Syria after a wave of strikes by European forces, including
Britain, over the last few days.

The Ministry of Defence said it would not comment on the rCLon

NORAD, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, is a joint

    Did someone mention NORAD?

I'm familiar with NORAD having lived quite a long time in North Bay, (50 -55,000 pop). I knew 2 American's who worked underground (vast complex built under 600 feet of granite directly below Armed Forces Base North Bay). In
2006, operations were moved above ground.

U.S. Personnel: There are approximately 33 to 34 active-duty United States Air Force (USAF) members stationed at North Bay.

Canadian Personnel: The base is primarily staffed by over 600 Canadian Armed Forces members Regular Force and 77 Reserve along with over 100 civilian personnel."

The US base for NORAD is in Colorado.
The Commander is typically a U.S. four-star general, while the Deputy
Commander is traditionally a senior Canadian Lieutenant-General, such as Lt.-Gen. Blaise Frawley as of mid-2023.

There are in the Colorado NORAD base about 350 Cdn members and the majority of course, are American.
It's not an American vs Canadian thing, it's a mutual collaberation that has worked well since the early 50's

I'm sure Trump has other ideas for NORAD.

    Of some interest, maybe..

There are no U.S military bases in Canada. There are approx 150 U.S. millitary
personel in Canada, spread among some Canadian Bases. There are 27 canadian
    military bases across Canada.

The UK has approx 10,000 U.S. military personel and 13 U.S. bases on uk soil.

There is one u.s. base in Greenland with approx 150 personel. - Four more u.s.
    bases are projected.

    And in the world:

Thanks to Julian and Tara for posting interesting information. Good work! >>>
Canada and Greenland are the first line of defense against Russian and
Chinese aggression. We have NORAD working to ensure the security of the
    whole continent.

Wrong side of the world. Wouldn't alaska be that line of defense?

Besides which, no such consideration overrules the right of

    No they did not.

Apparently, the strikes were coordinated between the US and Nigeria in retaliation for the kidnapping of kids and the killing of Christians.

The government wanted to send a message to the terrorists, according to

Climate change is real, everyone knows that. The question is, is global

I don't hear himbo making that distinction. The decision has been

According to a recent study, the total annual expenditure on global biodiversity conservation between 2001 and 2008 was approximately 21.5
    billion USD.

The bulk of the world's biodiversity budget comes from governments: the
    United States and Germany.

warming man made or caused by sun spots? The second question is, can we
    do anything about it?

I don't hear himbo making that distinction. The decision has been
made by those who know, yes we can do something. Polluters, you
understand, want us to believe we cannot.

China produces most of the pollution in Asia, so it's a hoax that China
will help reduce production, while at the same time, demanding the West
    to shut down theirs.

I guess I think nations should quit squabbling about who should do
what, and simply do something themselves.

What is the carbon foot print of China?

According to a recent study, the total annual expenditure on global >biodiversity conservation between 2001 and 2008 was approximately 21.5 >billion USD.

    Not our concern.

The bulk of the world's biodiversity budget comes from governments: the >United States and Germany.

    No longer the us.

    That ship has sailed.

There's only one Super Power left on the planet, and the only one that

    No they did not.

Apparently, the strikes were coordinated between the US and Nigeria in
retaliation for the kidnapping of kids and the killing of Christians.

The government wanted to send a message to the terrorists, according to
    the NY Times.

Shooting missiles into open fields is a waste of time.>
Do you have a problem with the US shooting missiles at open fields and
    terrorist camps?

My considered opinion is that nations should stop doing things that
don't accomplish anything while yelling, "lookie me, I did something."

My opinion is we should try to help fight terrorism. YMMV.

    Fine, but do something effective.
