Day 60, 1 March 2026

Today at Calvary Community Church , Pastor Sabestien Merta spoke on Living Counter-Cultural, Somebody's Watching

1 Corinthians 1:27

27 (Ps 8:2; 1Co 1:20) But God has chosen the foolish things
of the world to confound the wise. God has chosen the weak things of
the world to confound the things which are mighty.

[27] But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the
wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the
things which are mighty;

Phillipians 3:20

20 (Eph 2:19; 1Co 1:7; Ac 1:11) But our citizenship is in heaven, from
where also we await for our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,

20 (Eph 2:19; 1Co 1:7; Ac 1:11) But our citizenship is in heaven, from
where also we await for our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,

We are ambassadors

1 Peter 2:11

11 (Jas 4:1; Lev 25:23) Dearly beloved, I implore you as aliens and refugees, abstain from fleshly lusts, which wage war against the soul.

[11] Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

Somebody's Watching

1 Peter 2:12

12 (Mt 5:16; 1Pe 3:16) Live your lives honorably among the Gentiles, so that though they speak against you as evildoers, they shall see your good works
and thereby glorify God in the day of visitation.

[12] Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they
shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

1 Peter 2:15

15 (1Pe 2:12) For it is the will of God that by doing right you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men.

[15] For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence
the ignorance of foolish men:

MAtthew 5:16

16 (1Pe 2:12; Mt 9:8; Jn 15:8) Let your light so shine before men
that they may see your good works and glorify your Father
who is in heaven.

[16] Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Freedom comes from Submission

1 Peter 2:16

16 (Ro 6:22; 1Co 7:22) As free people, do not use your liberty as a covering for evil, but live as servants of God.
17 (Ro 13:7; Pr 24:21; Ro 12:10) Honor all people. Love the brotherhood.
Fear God. Honor the king.

[16] As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but
as the servants of God.
[17] Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

Romans 6:15-23

Slaves of Righteousness

15 (Ro 6:1-2) What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law
but under grace? God forbid!
16 (Jn 8:34; 2Pe 2:19) Do you not know that to whom you yield yourselves
as slaves to obey, you are slaves of the one whom you obey,
whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?
17 (Ro 1:8; 2Ti 1:13) But thanks be to God, for you were slaves of sin,
but you have obeyed from the heart that form of teaching
to which you were entrusted,
18 (Ro 6:22; Jn 8:32; Ro 8:2) and having been freed from sin, you became
the slaves of righteousness.
19 (Ro 3:5; 6:13) I speak in human terms because of the weakness
of your flesh, for just as you have yielded your members as slaves
to impurity and iniquity leading to more iniquity, even so now yield
your members as slaves to righteousness unto holiness.
20 For when you were the slaves of sin, you were free from righteousness.
21 (Ro 1:32; 6:23) What fruit did you have then from the things of which
you are now ashamed? The result of those things is death.
22 (Ro 6:18; 1Pe 2:16) But now, having been freed from sin
and having become slaves of God, you have fruit unto holiness,
and the end is eternal life.
23 (Ro 5:12; Ge 2:17; Ro 2:7) For the wages of sin is death,
but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

[15] What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
[16] Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
[17] But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have
obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
[18] Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. [19] I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
[20] For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. [21] What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for
the end of those things is death.
[22] But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have
your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
[23] For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1) Numbers 14, Numbers 15, Psalm 90

NUMBERS 14

Israel Refuses to Enter Canaan

1 And the whole assembly lifted up their voices and cried,
and the people wept that night.
2 (Ex 15:24; 17:3) All the children of Israel grumbled against Moses
and against Aaron, and the whole assembly said to them,
"O that we had died in the land of Egypt! Or that we had died
in this wilderness!
3 And why has the Lord brought us to this land to fall by the sword,
that our wives and our children should become prey?
Is it not better for us to return to Egypt?"
4 (Dt 17:16; Ac 7:39) And they said one to another,
"Let us select a leader, and let us return to Egypt."
5 (Nu 16:4; 16:22) Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces
before all the congregation of the assembly of the children of Israel.
6 (Nu 13:6; 13:8) Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh,
from the ones who explored the land, tore their clothes.
7 (Nu 13:27; Dt 1:25) And they spoke to all the assembly
of the children of Israel, saying, "The land which we passed through
to explore it is a very, very good land.
8 (Dt 10:15; Nu 13:27) If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us
into this land and give it to us, a land which flows with milk and honey.
9 (Dt 7:18; 9:23-24) Only do not rebel against the Lord, nor fear the people of the land because they are bread for us. Their defense is gone from them, and the Lord is with us. Do not fear them."
10 (Ex 17:4; Lev 9:23) But all the assembly said, "Stone them with stones." And the glory of the Lord appeared at the tent of meeting
before all the children of Israel.
11 (Ps 106:24; 78:22) The Lord said to Moses, "How long will this people disgrace Me? And how long will they not believe Me, in spite of all the signs which I have done among them?
12 (Ex 32:10) I will strike them
with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make from you
a nation greater and mightier than they."

Numbers 14
[1] And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the
people wept that night.
[2] And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!
[3] And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better
for us to return into Egypt?
[4] And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return
into Egypt.
[5] Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel.
[6] And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes:
[7] And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying,
The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.
[8] If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and
give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey.
[9] Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the
land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and
the LORD is with us: fear them not.
[10] But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of
the LORD appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the
children of Israel.
[11] And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have
shewed among them?
[12] I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will
make of thee a greater nation and mightier than they.

Moses Intercedes for the People

13 (Ps 106:23; Dt 32:27) Moses said to the Lord, "Then the Egyptians will
hear of it, for by Your power You brought this people up from among them,
14 (Ex 15:14; Ge 32:30) and they will say to the inhabitants of this land
that they heard that You, Lord, are among this people, that You, Lord,
are seen face to face, and Your cloud stands over them,
and in the pillar of cloud You go before them by day
and by a pillar of fire at night.
15 Now if You kill all this people as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of You will speak, saying,
16 (Dt 9:28; Jos 7:9) 'The Lord was not able to bring this people
into the land which He swore to them,
so He slaughtered them in the wilderness.'
17 "So now, I pray, let the power of my Lord be great,
just as You have spoken, saying,
18 (Ex 20:5; 34:6-7; Ps 145:8) 'The Lord is slow to anger
and abounding in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression;
but He will by no means clear the guilty,
visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third
and fourth generation.'
19 (Ex 34:9; Ps 78:38) Pardon the iniquity of this people, I pray,
according to the greatness of Your grace, just as You have pardoned
this people, from Egypt even until now."
20 The Lord said, "I have forgiven according to your word.
21 (Hab 2:14; Dt 32:40) But truly as I live, all the earth will be
filled with the glory of the Lord.
22 (Ge 31:7; Ex 17:2) Because all those men seeing My glory
and My signs which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness,
and have tempted Me now these ten times, and have not listened to My voice,
23 (Nu 32:11; 26:64) surely they will not see the land which I swore
to their fathers, nor will any of them who disgraced Me see it.
24 (Nu 14:6-9; 26:65) But My servant Caleb, because he had a different
spirit with him and followed Me fully, I will bring him into the land
where he went, and his seed will possess it.
25 (Nu 13:29; Dt 1:40) Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites
lived in the valley. Tomorrow you will turn, and you will
set out for the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea."

[13] And Moses said unto the LORD, Then the Egyptians shall hear it, (for
thou broughtest up this people in thy might from among them;)
[14] And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have
heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and that thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before
them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night. [15] Now if thou shalt kill all this people as one man, then the nations
which have heard the fame of thee will speak, saying,
[16] Because the LORD was not able to bring this people into the land which
he sware unto them, therefore he hath slain them in the wilderness.
[17] And now, I beseech thee, let the power of my Lord be great, according
as thou hast spoken, saying,
[18] The LORD is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.
[19] Pardon, I beseech thee, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of thy mercy, and as thou hast forgiven this people, from Egypt
even until now.
[20] And the LORD said, I have pardoned according to thy word:
[21] But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD.
[22] Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which
I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten
times, and have not hearkened to my voice;
[23] Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it:
[24] But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.
[25] (Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwelt in the valley.) To morrow turn you, and get you into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea.

Death of Rebels Predicted

26 The Lord spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying:
27 (Ex 16:12) How long will this evil assembly be murmuring against Me?
I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel which they murmur against Me.
28 (Nu 14:21; 14:23) Say to them, "As I live," says the Lord,
"just as you have spoken in My ears, so I will do to you.
29 (Nu 1:45; Heb 3:17) In this wilderness your corpses will fall,
and all who were numbered of you, according to your whole number,
from twenty years old and upward, who have murmured against Me,
30 (Ge 14:22; Nu 14:38) you will not go into the land
which I swore by My hand to cause you to dwell in it,
except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.
31 (Ps 106:24; Dt 1:39) But your children, whom you said would be a prey,
I will bring them in and they will know the land, which you rejected.
32 (1Co 10:5; Nu 14:29) But as for you,
your corpses will fall in this wilderness.
33 (Nu 32:13; Dt 2:14) Your children will be shepherds in the wilderness
forty years, and they will suffer for your fornications, until
your corpses are in the wilderness.
34 (Nu 13:25; Eze 4:6) According to the number of the days in which
you spied out the land, forty days, a year for each day you will
bear your iniquity, forty years, and you will know My displeasure."
35 (Nu 23:19) I the Lord have spoken. I will surely do this to all
this evil assembly gathered against Me. In this wilderness they will
be finished, and there they will die.
36 The men whom Moses sent to explore the land, who returned
and made all the assembly murmur against him by bringing up
an evil report about the land,
37 (1Co 10:10; Nu 16:49) the men who brought an evil report
about the land, died by the pestilence before the Lord.
38 (Nu 26:65) But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh,
from the men that went to explore the land, lived.

[26] And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
[27] How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.
[28] Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:
[29] Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered
of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward,
which have murmured against me,
[30] Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son
of Nun.
[31] But your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have despised.
[32] But as for you, your carcases, they shall fall in this wilderness.
[33] And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness.
[34] After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years,
and ye shall know my breach of promise.
[35] I the LORD have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil
congregation, that are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.
[36] And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and
made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander
upon the land,
[37] Even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague before the LORD.
[38] But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were
of the men that went to search the land, lived still.
Defeat in Battle

39 (Ex 33:4) Moses spoke these words to all the children of Israel,
and the people mourned greatly.
40 (Dt 1:41) They rose up early in the morning, and they went up to the top
of the mountain, saying, "Here we are. We will go up to the place which the Lord has promised, for we have sinned."
41 (2Ch 24:20) Moses said, "Why do you now transgress the commandment
of the Lord? This will not prosper.
42 (Dt 1:42) Do not go up, for the Lord is not among you; do not let yourselves be defeated by your enemies.
43 (Nu 13:29; 14:25) For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there
before you, and you will fall by the sword because you are turned
from the Lord, and the Lord will not be with you."
44 (Dt 1:43) But they presumed to go up to the top of the mountain.
But the ark of the covenant of the Lord and Moses did not depart
from the midst of the camp.
45 (Nu 21:3; Dt 1:44) Then the Amalekites and the Canaanites
who dwelt on that mountain went down and defeated them,
pursuing them as far as Hormah.

[39] And Moses told these sayings unto all the children of Israel: and the people mourned greatly.
[40] And they rose up early in the morning, and gat them up into the top of
the mountain, saying, Lo, we be here, and will go up unto the place which
the LORD hath promised: for we have sinned.
[41] And Moses said, Wherefore now do ye transgress the commandment of the LORD? but it shall not prosper.
[42] Go not up, for the LORD is not among you; that ye be not smitten before your enemies.
[43] For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and ye
shall fall by the sword: because ye are turned away from the LORD, therefore the LORD will not be with you.
[44] But they presumed to go up unto the hill top: nevertheless the ark of
the covenant of the LORD, and Moses, departed not out of the camp.
[45] Then the Amalekites came down, and the Canaanites which dwelt in that hill, and smote them, and discomfited them, even unto Hormah.

NUMBERS 15

Laws of Grain and Drink Offerings
1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
2 (Lev 23:10; Nu 15:18) Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them:
When you come into the land of your dwelling, which I am giving to you,
3 (Ex 29:18; Ge 8:21; Nu 28:27) when you make an offering by fire
to the Lord, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice in performing a vow,
or as a freewill offering, or in your appointed feasts,
to make a pleasing aroma to the Lord, of the herd or of the flock,
4 (Ex 29:40; Lev 23:13) then he who brings his offering to the Lord
will bring a grain offering of a tenth of an ephah
(About 1,500 feet, or 450 meters.)
of flour mixed with the fourth part of a hin
(About 1 quart, or 1 liter; and in v. 5.) of oil.
5 (Nu 28:7; 28:14) One-fourth of a hin of wine as a drink offering
you will prepare with the burnt offering or sacrifice, for each lamb.
6 Or for a ram, you will make a grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah (Likely about 7 pounds, or 3.2 kilograms.) of flour mixed
with one-third of a hin (About 1 1/3 quarts, or 1.3 liters; and in v. 7.)
of oil. 7 As a drink offering you will offer one-third of a hin of wine,
as a pleasing aroma to the Lord.
8 (Lev 3:1) When you prepare a bull as a burnt offering, or as a sacrifice
in performing a vow, or as a peace offering to the Lord,
9 (Lev 6:14; 14:10) then shall be brought with the bull
a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah
(Likely about 11 pounds, or 5 kilograms.)
of flour mixed with one-half a hin
(About 2 quarts, or 1.9 liters; and in v. 10.)
of oil.
10 You will bring as a drink offering one-half a hin of wine,
as a fire offering, as a pleasing aroma to the Lord.
11 (Thus it will be done for one herd animal, or for one ram,
or for a flock animal, whether from the sheep or from the goats.
12 According to the number that you will make,
so you will do for every one according to their number.
13 Every native Israelite will do these things in this manner,
in offering a fire offering as a pleasing aroma to the Lord.
14 (A foreigner who lives with you, or who resides among you
throughout your generations, and would present a fire offering,
a pleasing aroma to the Lord, shall do as you do.
15 (Nu 9:14; 15:29) One ordinance will be for you of the assembly
and for the foreigner who lives with you, an ordinance forever
throughout your generations. As you are, so will the foreigner
be before the Lord.
16 One law and one justice will be for you
and for the foreigner who lives with you.
17 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
18 (Nu 15:2) Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them:
When you come into the land where I bring you,
19 (Jos 5:11-12) then it will be, when you eat of the bread of the land
you will offer up an offering to the Lord.
20 (Lev 2:14; Ex 23:19) From the first of your dough you will offer
a cake as an offering. As you make the offering of the threshing floor,
so will you offer it.
21 Of the first of your dough you will give to the Lord an offering
throughout your generations.

[1] And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come
into the land of your habitations, which I give unto you,
[3] And will make an offering by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice in performing a vow, or in a freewill offering, or in your solemn feasts, to make a sweet savour unto the LORD, of the herd, or of the flock:
[4] Then shall he that offereth his offering unto the LORD bring a meat offering of a tenth deal of flour mingled with the fourth part of an hin of oil.
[5] And the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink offering shalt thou prepare with the burnt offering or sacrifice, for one lamb.
[6] Or for a ram, thou shalt prepare for a meat offering two tenth deals of flour mingled with the third part of an hin of oil.
[7] And for a drink offering thou shalt offer the third part of an hin of
wine, for a sweet savour unto the LORD.
[8] And when thou preparest a bullock for a burnt offering, or for a
sacrifice in performing a vow, or peace offerings unto the LORD:
[9] Then shall he bring with a bullock a meat offering of three tenth deals
of flour mingled with half an hin of oil.
[10] And thou shalt bring for a drink offering half an hin of wine, for an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
[11] Thus shall it be done for one bullock, or for one ram, or for a lamb,
or a kid.
[12] According to the number that ye shall prepare, so shall ye do to every
one according to their number.
[13] All that are born of the country shall do these things after this
manner, in offering an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the
LORD.
[14] And if a stranger sojourn with you, or whosoever be among you in your generations, and will offer an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD; as ye do, so he shall do.
[15] One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for
the stranger that sojourneth with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD.
[16] One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you.
[17] And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
[18] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land whither I bring you,
[19] Then it shall be, that, when ye eat of the bread of the land, ye shall offer up an heave offering unto the LORD.
[20] Ye shall offer up a cake of the first of your dough for an heave
offering: as ye do the heave offering of the threshingfloor, so shall ye
heave it.
[21] Of the first of your dough ye shall give unto the LORD an heave
offering in your generations.

Laws About Unintentional Sins

22 (Lev 4:2) If you have erred and not observed all these commandments
which the Lord has spoken to Moses,
23 even all that the Lord has commanded you by the hand of Moses,
from the day that the Lord commanded Moses
and onward through your generations,
24 (Lev 4:23; Nu 28:15) then it will be, if it is committed by ignorance without the knowledge of the assembly, that all the assembly will offer
one young bull as a burnt offering, as a pleasing aroma to the Lord,
with its grain offering and its drink offering, according to the rule,
and one kid of the goats as a sin offering.
25 (Lev 4:20; Ro 3:25) The priest will make atonement for all the assembly
of the children of Israel, and it will be forgiven them
because it is ignorance, and they will bring their offering,
a sacrifice made by fire to the Lord, and their sin offering before the Lord, for their ignorance.
26 And it will be forgiven all the assembly of the children of Israel
and the foreigner who lives among them,
because all the people were in ignorance.
27 (Lev 4:27-28) If a person sins unintentionally, then he will bring
a year-old female goat as a sin offering.
28 (Lev 4:35) The priest will make an atonement for the person who sins unintentionally, when he sins by ignorance before the Lord, to make
an atonement for him; and it will be forgiven him.
29 (Nu 15:15) You shall have one law for the person who acts through ignorance, for the natural-born citizen among the children of Israel
and foreigner who lives in your midst.

[22] And if ye have erred, and not observed all these commandments, which
the LORD hath spoken unto Moses,
[23] Even all that the LORD hath commanded you by the hand of Moses, from
the day that the LORD commanded Moses, and henceforward among your
generations;
[24] Then it shall be, if ought be committed by ignorance without the
knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one
young bullock for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour unto the LORD, with
his meat offering, and his drink offering, according to the manner, and one
kid of the goats for a sin offering.
[25] And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it is ignorance: and they shall bring their offering, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD, for their ignorance:
[26] And it shall be forgiven all the congregation of the children of
Israel, and the stranger that sojourneth among them; seeing all the people
were in ignorance.
[27] And if any soul sin through ignorance, then he shall bring a she goat
of the first year for a sin offering.
[28] And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the LORD, to make an
atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.
[29] Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for
him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.

Laws About Intentional Sins

30 (Dt 1:43; Ps 19:13) But the person who acts by a high hand,
the natural-born citizen or the foreigner, the same reviles the Lord,
and that person will be cut off from among his people.
31 (2Sa 12:9; Pr 13:13) Because he has despised the word of the Lord
and has broken His commandment, that person will be totally cut off.
His iniquity will be on him.

[30] But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be
cut off from among his people.
[31] Because he hath despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.

The Sabbath-Breaker Executed

32 (Ex 35:2-3) While the children of Israel were in the wilderness,
they found a man who gathered sticks on the Sabbath day.
33 The ones who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses
and Aaron and to all the assembly.
34 (Lev 24:12) They put him in confinement because it was not declared
what should be done to him.
35 (Ex 31:14-15; Ac 7:58) The Lord said to Moses, "The man will surely die. All the assembly will stone him with stones outside the camp."
36 All the assembly brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones, and he died as the Lord commanded Moses.

[32] And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a
man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day.
[33] And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and
Aaron, and unto all the congregation.
[34] And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be
done to him.
[35] And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.
[36] And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him
with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses.
Tassels on Garments

37 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
38 (Dt 22:12; Mt 23:5) Speak to the children of Israel,
and tell them to make for themselves tassels on the corners of their garments throughout the generations to come, and they will put a ribbon of blue on the corners of their garments.
39 (Ps 73:27; Eze 6:9) And it will be for you a tassel, and you will see it, and you will remember all the commandments of the Lord, and you will do them, and you will not follow the lust of your own heart and your own eyes.
40 (Lev 11:44-45; Ro 12:1) So shall you remember and do all My commandments, and be holy to your God.
41 (Lev 22:33) I am the Lord your God who brought you
out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord your God.

[37] And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
[38] Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and
that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue:
[39] And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring: [40] That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.
[41] I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to
be your God: I am the LORD your God.

Psalm 90

1 Lord, You have been our dwelling place
in all generations.
2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) Before the mountains were brought forth,
or You had formed the earth and the world,
even from everlasting to everlasting You are God.
3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) You return man to the dust
and say, "Return, you children of men."
4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) For a thousand years in Your sight
are but as yesterday when it is past,
or as a night watch in the night time.
5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) You carry them away as with a flood;
they are as a dream, like renewed grass in the morning:
6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) In the morning it flourishes and grows up;
in the evening it fades and withers.
7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) For we are consumed by Your anger,
and by Your wrath we are terrified.
8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) You have set our iniquities before You,
even our secret sins in the light of Your presence.
9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) For all our days pass away in your wrath;
we end our years with a groan.
10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) The years of our life are seventy,
and if by reason of strength eighty;
yet their length is toil and sorrow,
for they soon end, and we fly away.
11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) Who knows the power of Your anger?
Or Your wrath according to Your fear?
12 So teach us to number our days,
that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.
13 Return, O Lord, how long?
Have mercy on Your servants.
14 Satisfy us in the early morning with Your mercy,
that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
15 Make us glad according to the days that You have afflicted us,
and the years that we have seen evil.
16 Let Your work be displayed to Your servants
and Your glory to their children.
17 Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us,
and establish the work of our hands among us;
yes, establish the work of our hands.

Psalm 90
[1] LORD, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.
[2] Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
[3] Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men. [4] For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past,
and as a watch in the night.
[5] Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up.
[6] In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.
[7] For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.
[8] Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light
of thy countenance.
[9] For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a
tale that is told.
[10] The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow;
for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
[11] Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.
[12] So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto
wisdom.
[13] Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy
servants.
[14] O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all
our days.
[15] Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and
the years wherein we have seen evil.
[16] Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their
children.
[17] And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou
the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

2) Our Daily Bread for 1 March 2026 Titled
Go and Tell of Jesus by Nancy Gavilanes

Romans 10:12-15

12 (Ro 3:22; 2:4) For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek,
for the same Lord over all is generous toward all who call upon Him.
13 (Ac 2:21; Joel 2:32) For, "Everyone who calls on the name
of the Lord shall be saved."(Joel 2:32.)
14 (Titus 1:3) How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not
believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard?
And how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 (Isa 52:7; Na 1:15) And how shall they preach unless they are sent?
As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach
the gospel of peace, who bring good news of good things!"(Isa 52:7.)

[12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
[13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
[14] How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they
hear without a preacher?
[15] And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring
glad tidings of good things!

As our bus traveled higher and higher on the narrow road along the Andes Mountains, my teammates were busy laughing and singing. I was staring out my window - aghast that there weren't any guardrails between us and the abyss to our right. I was feeling a bit fearful and anxious as we kept going up and up and up, and I started to wonder why our short-term mission team had come to this remote part of Ecuador. Then it dawned on me: God must really love these people if He would send His own Son to die for them. Surely I could get through a scary bus ride to express that love with them.

It ended up being such a joy to do short Bible lessons, share our testimonies, and pray with the people who welcomed us in the various towns we visited each day.

The apostle Paul was committed to telling others about Jesus so they too could put their trust in Him. In Romans 10:13 he says that all who call on Jesus "will be saved." But "how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent?" (Romans 10:14-15).

There are people all around us who don't know Christ. Let's ask God for the courage to share the good news of Jesus with others, pray with them, and invite them to a church service or activity.

Reflect & Pray

How can you share the message of Christ with those who donrCOt know Him?
What tangible things can you do this week to show someone that you care?

Dear God, please help me to share Jesus.

3) Daily verses taken from Billy Graham Evangelical Organisation

Words in Season Scripture Memory Tools

Week 1 Knowing God's Word Day 1 - God's Perspective

Philippians 4:13

13 (2Co 12:9-10; Eph 3:16) I can do all things because
of Christ who strengthens me.

13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Many of us live out self-fulfilling prophecies. We believe
what we tell ourselves - or what we have been told by others:
"You're stupid", "You're ugly", "You'll never amount to anything,"
"You can't do anything right."
We programme ourselves for spiritual failure as well.
"I just can't memorise Scripture," we say. "It comes and goes,
and I can't seem to get it to stay." Yet daily we memorise
volumes of information that is less significant than the
Scriptures - telephone numbers, identification codes,
songs lyrics, advertising jingles.
The answer to the dilemma of negativism is not positive
thinking, but right thinking - biblical thinking, according
to what the Bible reveals of God's perspective. God says,
"You are worthwhile. You are valued. You are loved. I created you
just as you are, and whatever I call you to do,
I will give you the strength to do it.
The context of Phillipians 4:13 shows that Paul had learned
this important secret of spiritual strength. Paul had known
poverty and plenty, trouble and victory. But he also knew
he did not have to let circumstances determine his response to God's will.
We need not be controlled by the negative messages life throws in our paths
- even those self-defeating pronouncements we make to ourselves.
Rather, we can respond according to God's perspective, with the
conviction that God has given us strength we need to meet the
challenges we face.

Application

a) What challenges do I face that make me realise my own insufficiencies?
IS memorising Scripture one of those challenges for me?

b) How does today's memory verse help me face those challenges?

4) From Prosperity Promises - Kenneth Copeland

Joshua 1:5

5 (Dt 7:24; 31:6-8) No man will be able to stand against you all the days
of your life. As I was with Moses, I will be with you. I will not
abandon you. I will not leave you.

5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee,
nor forsake thee.

5) From a Book called God's Promises for you:

God's Help in Times of Temptation

1 Cor 10:1-13

1 Corinthians 10

Warning Against Idolatry

1 (Ex 14:29; Ps 66:6) I would not want you to be unaware that
all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea,
2 and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3 (Ex 16:35; Dt 8:3) all ate the same spiritual food;
4 (Ex 17:6; Nu 20:11) and all drank the same spiritual drink,
for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them,
and that Rock was Christ.
5 (Heb 3:17; Jude 1:5) But with many of them God was not well pleased,
and they were overthrown in the wilderness.
6 (Nu 11:4; 1Co 10:11) Now these things were our examples to the intent
that we should not lust after evil things as they lusted.
7 (Ex 32:19; 32:4) Neither be idolaters as were some of them.
As it is written,
"The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to revel." (Ex 32:6. )
8 (Nu 25:1-9; 1Co 6:18) Neither let us commit sexual immorality as some
of them committed, when 23000 fell in one day.
9 (Nu 21:5-6; Ex 17:2) Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them
also tempted and were destroyed by serpents.
10 (Ex 12:23; Nu 16:41) Neither murmur, as some of them also murmured
and were destroyed by the destroyer.
11 (Ro 13:11) Now all these things happened to them for examples.
They are written as an admonition to us,
upon whom the end of the ages has come.
12 (Ro 11:20) Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed,
lest he fall.
13 (1Co 1:9; 2Pe 2:9) No temptation has taken you except what is common
to man. God is faithful, and He will not permit you to be tempted above
what you can endure, but will with the temptation also make a way
to escape, that you may be able to bear it.

1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all
our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
2 and were all baptised unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3 and did all eat the same spiritual meat;
4 and did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that
spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
5 But with many of them God was not well pleased:
for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust
after evil things, as they also lusted.
7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written,
The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed,
and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted,
and were destroyed of serpents.
10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured,
and were destroyed of the destroyer.
11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples:
and they are written for our admonition,
upon whom the ends of the world are come.
12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man:
but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted
above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also
make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Remember God's promises when You pray

The Lord's prayer

Matthew 6:9-13

9 "Therefore pray in this manner:
Our Father who is in heaven,
hallowed be Your name.
10 (Mt 3:2; 4:17) Your kingdom come;
Your will be done
on earth, as it is in heaven.
11 (Pr 30:8; Isa 33:16) Give us this day our daily bread.
12 (Ex 34:7; Ps 32:1) And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
13 (1Co 10:13; Jn 17:15) And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."

9 After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Saskatchewan

Quick facts on Muslims in Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan 2015 population 1125400

est Muslim Population 17279

CNMM Networks: Saskatoon

Saskatoon has seen quick growth in its Muslim population over the past
5 years, which maybe as high as 5000 today. Islamic leaders have
focused specifically on this city , having twice already sent cohorts
of about 70 families to start mosques. There are now 7 Islamic centres
of worship and an ISlamic madrassah (school) located right next to a
Christian school.
Of particular concern recently is the number of young adults who grew up
in evangelical churches and converted to Islam. Most of these are young
women whowere wooed by Muslim man and became emotionally bonded.
Both prior to and after marrying, these women are known to convert to ISlam.

Agree in prayer with us for:
- entire congregations and individual believers to catch God's heart
and passion for reaching Muslims in Saskatoon and the other growing
Muslim population centres of Saskatchewan.
- for the eyes and understanding of Canadian youth to be opened to the
spiritual reality of Islam, and not deceived nor manipulated into
converting to a religion which cannot offer assurance of salvation.
- for the few workers among Muslims now engaged there, and for many more
to be raised up into effective witness.
- for prayer and training events that are starting in Saskatoon
to spread and grow to other cities.

Pray for Iranians in Greece

Growing up in Iran, Layla had many unanswered questions about faith and nothing to comfort her throughout the many difficult circumstances in her life. She married, had a daughter, and moved to Iraq. Eventually, her husband passed away and Layla and daughter struggled to survive.

Eventually, Layla lost her job and most of her possessions. Then she suffered a series of heart attacks. In a panic, Layla cried out, "God, help me! My daughter is all alone." Despite her lack of funds, she was taken to a hospital where she received heart surgery from a kind Christian surgeon. Her surgery was not only successful, but the doctor encouraged her, saying,
"God is healing your heart."

Layla remembers how a "strange warmth" came over her and she felt like she was born again. That day, Layla believed, and made a covenant with God to serve him for as long as she has breath.

Layla and her daughter travelled to Greece along the refugee highway where God told her clearly, "Layla, I have work for you, and you must seek out those who have lost their way, those who are homeless." God used her first to translate Al Massira, a film based course which leads seekers on a journey through the Old Testament prophets, culminating in an invitation to follow Jesus
the Messiah.

See also Pray for Yemeni Women

Layla now serves at a refugee centre, where people arrive hungry and exhausted. She reaches out to them with GodrCOs love and offers prayer. In addition, she often invites them into her home where she cooks for them
and leads them through the Al Massira course. Many of these have found a new home in Jesus.

How to Pray

Pray for peace in Iran during this time of political turmoil and war.

Pray that refugees facing hardship and despair would encounter
Jesus the Messiah.

Ask God to equip churches to embrace new believers from a Muslim
background and see them grounded in the Word.

My paternal side is of Muslim heritage and will offer this section to further call for Muslim converts to Christian and any other converts to Christianity (Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, ...) .

then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions.

28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men

17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God,

2) Pray that the heart of our Prime Minister
would be directed to do that which pleases God

(Prov 21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord,
as the rivers of water; He turns it to any place He will.

1 The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD,
As the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

Eight) Day 7 - New seasons begin when God declares "now."

Scripture: Mark 1:15

15 (Gal 4:4; Ac 20:21; Eph 1:10) saying, "The time is fulfilled,
and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe the gospel."

[15] And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

---

When Jesus steps onto the scene in Mark 1, His first public words are
a declaration: "The time is fulfilled." In other words, now. God's long-promised moment has arrived. A new season is breaking in - but it requires a response. "Repent and believe."

In the Kingdom of God, new seasons do not begin simply because time passes. They begin when God declares now and when His people make room for what He wants to do. Repentance, in this sense, is not just turning away from sin;
it is a re-orientation of the heart. It is surrendering old ways of thinking, old attachments, old controls that no longer belong in the new season God is unfolding.

Before seeds are planted, the ground must be prepared. Stones removed. Weeds uprooted. Soil turned over. Consecration is God's invitation to let Him work beneath the surface - to expose what crowds our hearts and competes with our trust. Surrender creates space. It clears the ground so something new can
take root and grow.

Fasting and prayer help us notice what we've been holding onto - habits, fears, ambitions, comforts, even good things - that quietly resist God's
work in our life. Jesus' call to believe follows repentance because faith flourishes best in surrendered soil. Where control loosens, trust deepens.

If God is declaring now over your life, the question is not whether He is ready - but whether the ground is.

Listening Prayer:

"Holy Spirit ...

- What could I surrender to make space for God's new work?"

- Where might I be clinging to the old season,
even as God is inviting me to step into now?"

Prayer Items:

Please pray for the leadership of Calvary...

A. Unified Discernment and Spiritual Clarity.

Pray that the elders would be deeply aligned with the Holy Spirit - hearing God clearly, responding faithfully, and walking in unity as they discern
His direction for Calvary in this season (Acts 13:2).

2 (Ac 9:15; 2Ti 1:11) As they worshipped the Lord and fasted,
the Holy Spirit said, "Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work
to which I have called them."
[2] As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said,
Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them

B. Godly Wisdom and Courageous Leadership

Ask God to grant wisdom that is both biblical and practical, along with the courage to lead decisively, even when choices are costly, countercultural,
or require long-term faith over short-term comfort (James 1:5).

5 (Pr 2:3-6; Jn 15:7) If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God,
who gives to all men liberally and without criticism,
and it will be given to him.

[5] If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

C. Protection, Integrity, and Spiritual Health

Pray for spiritual covering over each elder and their families - protection from discouragement, division, temptation, and fatigue - and for lives marked by humility, holiness, and integrity (1 Peter 5:2rCo3).

2 (1Ti 3:8; 3:3) Shepherd the flock of God that is among you, take care
of them, not by constraint, but willingly, not for dishonest gain,
but eagerly.
3 (Eze 34:4; Php 3:17) Do not lord over those in your charge,
but be examples to the flock.

[2] Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof,
not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; [3] Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.

D. Fruitfulness and Gospel Impact at Calvary

Pray that Calvary would bear lasting fruit - lives transformed, leaders raised
up, disciples made, and the community reachedrCothrough the elders' faithful
stewardship and obedience to GodrCOs calling (John 15:16).

16 (Jn 13:18; 6:7) You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain,
that the Father may give you whatever you ask Him in My name.

[16] Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
