    ANTICHRIST. The Bible's identification.

Some people say that the antichrist occurred in the past and was such personages as Pompey, Nero, Muhammad, or Adolf Hitler. Others say that
he came from the Middle East and was Saddam Hussein of Iraq or some unidentified child in that region. And still others say that the
antichrist is yet to come in the future. How do we know where the
    truth is?

Since the word "antichrist" is a Bible term, then it would only be
reasonable to go the Bible to see what God has to say about the
antichrist since we want His interpretations of scripture and not our
    own.
The word "antichrist" occurs three times in the Bible in singular
form. The very first occurrence of the word is at 1 John 2:18 which
    reads,

"Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many
antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour." (NIV)

Notice a couple of interesting points in this scripture. The Apostle
John tells us that there are "many" antichrists. Also, these
antichrists were existing in his day, around the end of the first
    century.
Thus we know that there is more than one antichrist and that they have
been around for many hundreds of years.
Does the other occurrences of the word confirm those facts? 1 John
    2:22,

"Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ.
Such a man is the antichrist--he denies the Father and the Son." (NIV)
In this verse we get a definition of an antichrist; he denies that
Jesus is the Christ and he also denies the Father. The last use of the
word is at 2 John 7,

"Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the
flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver
    and the antichrist." (NIV)

Thus we have confirmation that there are more than one antichrist and
more information to include in the definition; a person who does not acknowledge that Jesus came to earth in the flesh.

So who are these antichrists that the Apostle John brings to our
attention? There are many, of which include the following:

    (1) Persons who deny that Jesus is the Messiah. (1 John 2:22)
    (2) Persons who deny that Jesus is the Son of God. (1 John 2:22; Lu
    9:35)
    (3) Apostates. (1 John 2:18,19)
    (4) Nations that oppose Christ as king. (Ps 2:2)
    (5) People saying that they fulfill the Messianic role, not Christ.
    (Mt 24:24)

Thus we see that there is a multitude of antichrists which the Apostle
John lumps together as one composite person called the "antichrist" (2
John 7) They have existed in the past and will continue to exist right
up to the time when God says "ENOUGH" and destroys all opposers of His
    word. (Pr 2:21,22)

Scripture identifies both a present spirit of opposition to Christ and a climactic man of lawlessness who will stand in open rebellion before the return of the Lord.

John writes, rCLChildren, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have comerCY (1 John 2:18,
ESV). He speaks of a coming individual, and also of many who already
reflect that same spirit. He then defines the mark of such opposition:
rCLWho is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the SonrCY (1 John 2:22, ESV). To deny the Son severs oneself from the Father. rCLNo one who denies the Son
has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father alsorCY (1 John
    2:23, ESV).

John presses further: rCLEvery spirit that does not confess Jesus is not
from God. This is the spirit of the antichristrCY (1 John 4:3, ESV). And again, rCLMany deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Such a one is the
deceiver and the antichristrCY (2 John 7, ESV). Any teaching that
diminishes who Jesus is, or rejects what God has revealed about His
    person, bears that mark.

The testimony of Scripture about the Son leaves no room for a reduced
Christ. rCLIn the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was GodrCY (John 1:1, ESV). rCLAnd the Word became flesh and dwelt among usrCY (John 1:14, ESV). He is not merely a messenger. He is God in
    the flesh.

Thomas answered Him, rCLMy Lord and my God!rCY (John 20:28, ESV). Jesus did not correct him. The Father says of the Son, rCLYour throne, O God, is
forever and everrCY (Hebrews 1:8, ESV). Paul declares that Christ Jesus, rCLthough he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a
thing to be graspedrCY (Philippians 2:6, ESV). He is rCLour great God and Savior Jesus ChristrCY (Titus 2:13, ESV).

The Son receives worship that belongs to God alone. rCLLet all GodrCOs
angels worship himrCY (Hebrews 1:6, ESV). Yet God has said, rCLYou shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serverCY (Matthew 4:10,
ESV). The only way both statements stand true is if the Son shares the
    divine nature.

Scripture also reveals a future world ruler who will embody this
rebellion in concentrated form. Paul speaks of rCLthe man of
lawlessnessrCawho opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god
or object of worshiprCY (2 Thessalonians 2:3rCo4, ESV). His coming will be rCLby the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wondersrCY (2 Thessalonians 2:9, ESV). Daniel foresaw a king who rCLshall exalt himself
and magnify himself above every godrCY (Daniel 11:36, ESV). Revelation describes a beast who demands worship and blasphemes God (Revelation
    13:5rCo8, ESV).

Thus Scripture presents both the ongoing spirit that rejects the Son and
a final figure who will personify that defiance. The common thread runs
clear: rejection of the true identity of Jesus Christ.

The apostles did not treat this as a minor doctrinal detail. John
writes, rCLEveryone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching
of Christ, does not have GodrCY (2 John 9, ESV). Eternal life rests on
knowing the Son as He truly is. rCLWhoever has the Son has life; whoever
does not have the Son of God does not have liferCY (1 John 5:12, ESV).

The issue, then, centers on the person of Christ. To confess Him as God
the Son who came in the flesh, died for our sins, and rose again secures fellowship with the Father (1 Corinthians 15:1rCo4, ESV). To deny Him in
His true identity aligns with the spirit Scripture warns against. The
dividing line stands where God Himself has drawn it: the Son.
    --
Have you heard the good news Christ died for our sins (rCa), and God
    raised Him from the dead?

That Christ died for our sins shows we're sinners who deserve the death penalty. That God raised Him from the dead shows Christ's death
satisfied God's righteous demands against our sin (Romans 3:25; 1 John
2:1-2). This means God can now remain just, while forgiving you of your
sins, and saving you from eternal damnation.

On the basis of Christ's death and resurrection for our sins, call on
the name of the Lord to save you: "For 'everyone who calls on the name
of the Lord will be saved'" (Romans 10:13, ESV).

accuses Jesus of being God. That is a serious error

oAnd the Word became flesh and dwelt
among uso (John 1:14, ESV). He is not merely a messenger. He is God in

God NEVER had flesh, but has always had a spirit body. (John 4:23,24)

    Jesus did
not correct him. The Father says of the Son, oYour throne, O God, is
forever and evero (Hebrews 1:8, ESV).

(Hebrews 1:8) But about the Son, he says: oGod is your throne forever
and ever, and the scepter of your Kingdom is the scepter of

The Son receives worship that belongs to God alone. oLet all GodAs
angels worship himo (Hebrews 1:6, ESV).

    Bad translation above

"(Hebrews 1:6) But when he again brings his Firstborn into the

    Now it makes more sense.

The beast is symbolic, just like the Lake of Fire is. It has 7 heads.
The beast represents all political power. The Devil gives it its

Yes, they get what the Bible teaches about death. (Ec 9:5,10; Ps
    146:3,4)

The issue, then, centers on the person of Christ. To confess Him as God >>the Son who came in the flesh, died for our sins, and rose again secures >>fellowship with the Father (1 Corinthians 15:1u4, ESV). To deny Him in

Just think what you are doing. You are praying to another god. The
Bible's God is a jealous God.

False. There is only one Being who is God. Yet three persons are God.
The Bible teaches both. It is you who prays to a false God which denies
Jesus is YHWH God. Everything you parrot from Watchtower is a lie that
has been strategically calculated and recalculated to deny what the
    Bible plainly teaches.

You see verse after verse directly declaring Jesus is God, and you
dismiss it as meaning something on the order of "Holy smoke!", or
pretend it's just a "bad translation". Then you favor a FALSE LIE of a "translation" that inserts words that aren't even in the Bible, not
because it's necessary for smooth English translation, but for the
calculated purpose of denying Jesus is God. Watchtower does this because
they know the Bible shows He is God without their added words (e.g.
"other" in Colossians 1). Your NWT is the "bad translation". It's not
even a translation. It's a calculated and recalculated LIE that
strategically and systematically finds ways to deny and contradict what
the Bible plainly teaches. See https://christrose.news/nwt

    You're a damned (and I say that accurately) liar. You're not YHWH's
witness, because YHWH is Jesus Christ:

The disciples, in their inspired New Testament writings, accepted Lb|A-Cb|a (kurios) as an accurate translation of God's name from the LXX, and
    applied it to Jesus Christ:

    1. Joel 2:32 raA Romans 10:13
rCo Joel 2:32 (LXX): rCLEveryone who calls on the name of the LORD
    (*Kurios*) will be saved.rCY

rCo Romans 10:13: rCLEveryone who calls on the name of the LORD
    (*Kurios*) will be saved.rCY

Paul applies this to Jesus in Romans 10:9, identifying Him as the
*Kurios* on whom we call for salvation.

    2. Isaiah 45:23 raA Philippians 2:10rCo11

rCo Isaiah 45:23 (LXX): rCLTo Me every knee shall bow, every tongue
    shall confess to God.rCY

rCo Philippians 2:10rCo11: rCLAt the name of Jesus every knee should
bow... and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is LORD
    (*Kurios*).rCY

Paul applies this passage about YHWH to Jesus, calling Him *Kurios*.

    3. Deuteronomy 6:4 raA 1 Corinthians 8:6

rCo Deuteronomy 6:4 (LXX): rCLThe LORD (*Kurios*) our God, the LORD
    (*Kurios*) is one.rCY

rCo 1 Corinthians 8:6: rCLYet for us there is one God, the Father...
and one LORD (*Kurios*), Jesus Christ.rCY

Paul affirms monotheism and includes Jesus as *Kurios* within the divine identity.

    4. Psalm 34:8 raA 1 Peter 2:3

rCo Psalm 34:8 (LXX): rCLTaste and see that the LORD (*Kurios*) is
    good.rCY

rCo 1 Peter 2:3: rCLIf indeed you have tasted that the LORD
    (*Kurios*) is good.rCY

Peter quotes the psalm about YHWH and applies it to Jesus as *Kurios*.

    5. Isaiah 8:13rCo14 raA 1 Peter 3:15; Romans 9:33

rCo Isaiah 8:13: rCLBut the LORD (*Kurios*) of hosts, Him you shall
    honor as holy...rCY

rCo 1 Peter 3:15: rCLHonor Christ the LORD (*Kurios*) as holy in your
    hearts.rCY

rCo Isaiah 8:14: rCLAnd He will become a sanctuary and a stone of
    stumbling...rCY

Romans 9:33 and 1 Peter 2:8 apply this stumbling stone to Christ,
    identifying Him as the *Kurios*.

    6. Psalm 102:25rCo27 raA Hebrews 1:10rCo12

rCo Psalm 102:25 (LXX): rCLYou, LORD (*Kurios*), laid the foundation
of the earth in the beginning.rCY

rCo Hebrews 1:10: rCLYou, LORD (*Kurios*), laid the foundation of the
    earth in the beginning.rCY

The writer explicitly says this was spoken rCLof the Son,rCY identifying
    Jesus as *Kurios*.

    7. Deuteronomy 10:17 raA Revelation 19:16

rCo Deuteronomy 10:17 (LXX): rCLFor the LORD (*Kurios*) your God is
God of gods and LORD (*Kurios*) of lords.rCY

rCo Revelation 19:16: rCLKing of kings and LORD (*Kurios*) of lords.rCY

The title for YHWH is applied to Jesus, who bears the name *Kurios* of all.

The New Testament authors consistently affirm *Kurios* as the proper translation of YHWH and deliberately apply passages about the *Kurios*
of the Old Testament to Jesus Christ.

    Paul declares that Christ Jesus,

The beast is symbolic, just like the Lake of Fire is. It has 7 heads.
The beast represents all political power. The Devil gives it its
power. This puts the Devil in charge of the military and governments.

of the Lord will be saved'" (Romans 10:13, ESV).

    Short & Concise: Death

    -- King James
Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy
might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in
    the grave, whither thou goest.

    -- King James
Psalms 146:4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in
that very day his thoughts perish.

    -- King James
John 11:11,14 These things said he: and after that he saith unto
them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out
    of sleep.
    14.-- King James
Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.

Summery: The Bible says the dead are not conscious.

    Then what are ghosts?

And JW's have been speaking that all along esp at Mt 24:14.

    -- King James
Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all
the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

One thing the end is dependant upon is the preaching of the good news
of the Kingdom. When it finishes, the end will come. And we know that
Mt 24:14 will not actually finish the assignment before the end is
    here.

Do you think it is the mission of Christians to hasten the coming of The
End as much as they can?
