Day 33, 2 February 2026

1) Exodus 10 , Exodus 11, Exodus 12

EXODUS 10

The Eighth Plague: Locusts

1 (Ex 4:21) Then the Lord said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the heart of his servants, that I might show
these signs of Mine before him,
2 (Ex 13:14; Dt 4:9) in order that you may tell in the hearing of your son,
and of your son's son, what things I have done in Egypt,
and My signs which I have done among them,
that you may know that I am the Lord."
3 (1Ki 21:29; Jas 4:10) Moses and Aaron came to Pharaoh and said to him,
"Thus says the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, 'How long will you refuse to
humble yourself before Me? Let My people go, that they may serve Me.
4 (Rev 9:3; Pr 30:27) For if you refuse to let My people go, indeed,
tomorrow I will bring locusts into your territory.
5 (Ex 9:32; Joel 1:4) And they shall cover the face of the earth,
such that no one will be able to see the earth.
What's more, they shall eat the remainder of that which has escaped
- that which remains to you from the hail - and shall eat every tree
which grows for you out of the field.
6 (Ex 8:3; 8:21) And they shall fill your houses, and the houses
of all your servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians - which neither
your fathers, nor your fathers' fathers have seen since the day that they
were on the earth until this day.' " And he turned and went out from
Pharaoh.
7 (Ex 23:33; Jos 23:13) Then Pharaoh's servants said to him,
"How long shall this man be a snare to us? Let the men go,
so that they may serve the Lord their God. Do you not yet know
that Egypt is destroyed?"
8 (Ex 10:24) So Moses and Aaron were brought back to Pharaoh, and he said
to them, "Go, serve the Lord your God! But who are the ones that shall go?"
9 (Ex 3:18; 5:1) And Moses said, "We will go with our young and our old,
with our sons and our daughters, with our flocks and our herds will we go,
for we must hold a feast to the Lord."
10 Then he said to them, "The Lord indeed be with you when I let you
and your little ones go. Beware, for evil is before you.
11 (Ex 10:28) Not so! Go now, you that are men, and serve the Lord,
for that is what you desire." Then they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.
12 (Ex 7:19; 10:4-5) Then the Lord said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand
over the land of Egypt for the locusts, so that they may come up upon
the land of Egypt and eat every herb of the land,
even all that the hail has left."
13 So Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt;
then the Lord brought
an east wind upon the land all that day and all that night.
And when it was morning,
the east wind brought the locusts.
14 (Ps 78:46) The locusts went up over all the land of Egypt
and settled down in all the territory of Egypt. They were very grievous.
Never before had there been such locusts as they,
nor would there be such ever again.
15 (Ex 10:5) For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land
was darkened, and they ate every herb of the land, and all the fruit
of the trees which the hail had left. As a result, nothing green remained there in the trees or herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt.
16 (Ex 9:27) Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste and said,
"I have sinned against the Lord, your God, and against you.
17 (Ex 8:8; 9:28) Now therefore please forgive my sin only this once,
and entreat the Lord your God, so that He may take away from me
this death only."
18 So he went out from Pharaoh and prayed to the Lord.
19 (Joel 2:20) Then the Lord turned a mighty strong west wind,
which took away the locusts and threw them into the Red Sea.
Not one locust remained in all the territory of Egypt.
20 (Ex 4:21; 11:10) But the Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart,
so that he would not let the children of Israel go.

[1] And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened
his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might shew these my signs before him:
[2] And that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son's son, what things I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among
them; that ye may know how that I am the LORD.
[3] And Moses and Aaron came in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him, Thus saith
the LORD God of the Hebrews, How long wilt thou refuse to humble thyself
before me? let my people go, that they may serve me.
[4] Else, if thou refuse to let my people go, behold, to morrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast:
[5] And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to
see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped,
which remaineth unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which
groweth for you out of the field:
[6] And they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of all thy servants, and
the houses of all the Egyptians; which neither thy fathers, nor thy fathers' fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth unto this
day. And he turned himself, and went out from Pharaoh.
[7] And Pharaoh's servants said unto him, How long shall this man be a snare unto us? let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God: knowest
thou not yet that Egypt is destroyed?
[8] And Moses and Aaron were brought again unto Pharaoh: and he said unto
them, Go, serve the LORD your God: but who are they that shall go?
[9] And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our
sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go;
for we must hold a feast unto the LORD.
[10] And he said unto them, Let the LORD be so with you, as I will let you
go, and your little ones: look to it; for evil is before you.
[11] Not so: go now ye that are men, and serve the LORD; for that ye did desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.
[12] And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail hath left.
[13] And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and
when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.
[14] And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all
the coasts of Egypt: very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.
[15] For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt.
[16] Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said, I have sinned against the LORD your God, and against you.
[17] Now therefore forgive, I pray thee, my sin only this once, and intreat
the LORD your God, that he may take away from me this death only.
[18] And he went out from Pharaoh, and intreated the LORD.
[19] And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red sea; there remained not one locust in
all the coasts of Egypt.
[20] But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go.

The Ninth Plague: Darkness

21 (Ex 9:22; Ps 105:28) Then the Lord said to Moses,
"Stretch out your hand toward the heavens, so that
there may be darkness over the land of Egypt,
a darkness which may be felt."
22 (Ps 105:28; Rev 16:10) So Moses stretched forth his hand
toward the heavens, and there was a thick darkness
in all the land of Egypt for three days.
23 (Ex 8:22; 9:4) They did not see one another; nor did anyone rise
from his place for three days. But all the children of Israel
had light in their dwellings.
24 (Ex 10:8-10) Then Pharaoh called to Moses and said,
"Go, serve the Lord. Only let your flocks and your herds be detained.
Even let your little ones also go with you."
25 But Moses said, "You must also give us sacrifices and burnt offerings,
so that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.
26 Our livestock will go with us also. Not a hoof will be left behind,
for we must take of them to serve the Lord our God.
And we do not know with what we must serve the Lord, until we get there."
27 (Ex 10:20; 4:21) But the Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart,
and he would not let them go.
28 So Pharaoh said to him, "Get away from me! Watch yourself,
do not see my face anymore; for in the day you see my face you shall die."
29 (Heb 11:27) Then Moses said,"As you wish. I will never see your face again."

[21] And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven,
that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may
be felt.
[22] And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:
[23] They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three
days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.
[24] And Pharaoh called unto Moses, and said, Go ye, serve the LORD; only
let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your little ones also go with you.
[25] And Moses said, Thou must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice unto the LORD our God.
[26] Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not an hoof be left
behind; for thereof must we take to serve the LORD our God; and we know not with what we must serve the LORD, until we come thither.
[27] But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go.
[28] And Pharaoh said unto him, Get thee from me, take heed to thyself, see
my face no more; for in that day thou seest my face thou shalt die.
[29] And Moses said, Thou hast spoken well, I will see thy face again no
more.

EXODUS 11

Warning of the Final Plague

1 Now the Lord said to Moses, "I will still bring one plague more
upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt. Afterwards he will let you go
from here. When he lets you go, he shall surely
thrust you out from here altogether.
2 (Ex 3:22; 12:35-36) Speak now in the hearing of the people,
and let every man borrow of his neighbor and every woman of her neighbor, articles of silver and articles of gold."
3 (Ex 3:21; 12:36) Then the Lord gave the people favor in the sight
of the Egyptians. Moreover, the man Moses was very great
in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants,
and in the sight of the people.
4 (Ex 12:29; Job 34:20) Moses said, "Thus says the Lord, 'About midnight
I will go out into the midst of Egypt,
5 (Ps 78:51; Ex 4:23) and all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sits on his throne,
even to the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill,
as well as all the firstborn of beasts.
6 (Ex 12:30; Am 5:17) Then there shall be a great cry throughout
all the land of Egypt, such as there has never been,
nor shall ever be again.
7 (Ex 8:22; Jos 10:21) But against any of the children of Israel a dog
will not even move his tongue, against man or beast, in order that
you may know how that the Lord distinguishes between Egypt and Israel.'
8 (Ex 12:31-33) Then all these your servants shall come down
to me and bow themselves to me, saying,
'Get out, and all the people who follow you!' After that I will go out."
And he went out from Pharaoh in great anger.
9 (Ex 7:3-4; 3:19) Then the Lord said to Moses, "Pharaoh shall not listen
to you so that My wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt."
10 (Ex 4:21; 10:20) So Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before
Pharaoh, and the Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let
the children of Israel go out of his land.

Exodus 11
[1] And the LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall
let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.
[2] Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold.
[3] And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians.
Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.
[4] And Moses said, Thus saith the LORD, About midnight will I go out into
the midst of Egypt:
[5] And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn
of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.
[6] And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.
[7] But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his
tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.
[8] And all these thy servants shall come down unto me, and bow down
themselves unto me, saying, Get thee out, and all the people that follow
thee: and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.
[9] And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you; that
my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.
[10] And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.

EXODUS 12

The Passover Instituted

Lev 23:4-8; Nu 28:16-25; Dt 16:1-8

1 Now the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying:
2 (Dt 16:1; Ex 13:4; 23:15) This month shall be the beginning of months
to you. It shall be the first month of the year to you.
3 Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying:
On the tenth day of this month every man shall take a lamb,
according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for a household.
4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him
and his neighbor next to his house take it according to
the number of the persons; according to what each man shall eat,
divide the lamb.
5 (Lev 23:12; Dt 17:1) Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male
of the first year. You shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats.
6 (Lev 23:5; Ex 16:12; Nu 28:16) You shall keep it up until the fourteenth
day of the same month, and then the whole assembly of the congregation
of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
7 They shall take some of the blood and put it on the two side posts
and on the upper doorpost of the houses in which they shall eat it.
8 (Ex 34:25; Dt 16:7) They shall eat the flesh on that night,
roasted with fire, and they shall eat it with unleavened bread
and bitter herbs.
9 (Ex 12:8; Dt 16:7) Do not eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water,
but roasted with fire, its head with its legs and its entrails.
10 (Ex 23:18; 34:25; 29:34) And you shall let nothing of it remain
until the morning, but that of it which remains until the morning
you shall burn with fire.
11 (Ex 12:27; Eph 6:15) In this way shall you eat it: with your waist
girded, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand.
So you shall eat it in haste. It is the Lord's Passover.
12 (Ex 6:2; Nu 33:4) For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night
and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast,
and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment. I am the Lord.
13 (Heb 11:28) The blood shall be to you for a sign on the houses where
you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague
shall not be upon you to destroy you when I smite the land of Egypt.
14 (Ex 12:17; 12:24) This day shall be a memorial to you, and you shall
keep it as a feast to the Lord. Throughout your generations you shall
keep it a feast by an eternal ordinance.
15 (Dt 16:3; Ge 17:14; Ex 23:15) Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread.
On the first day you shall put away leaven out of your houses, for whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that person shall be cut off from Israel.
16 (Lev 23:7-8; Nu 28:18) On the first day there shall be a holy convocation, and on the seventh day there shall be a holy convocation for you.
No manner of work shall be done on them; but that which every man
must eat - that only may be prepared for you.
17 (Ex 13:3) You shall observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread.
For on this very day I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt.
Therefore you shall observe this day throughout your generations
as an ordinance forever.
18 (Ex 12:15; Lev 23:5-8) In the first month, on the fourteenth day
of the month at evening, you shall eat unleavened bread until
the twenty-first day of the month at evening.
19 (Ex 12:15; 12:48) Seven days shall there be no leaven found
in your houses, for whoever eats that which is leavened, that
person shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel,
whether he be a stranger or born in the land.
20 You shall eat nothing leavened.
In all your dwellings you shall eat unleavened bread.
21 (Ex 12:3; Mk 14:12-16) Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel
and said to them, "Draw out and take for yourselves a lamb according
to your families and kill the Passover lamb.
22 (Heb 11:28; Ex 12:7) You shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it
in the blood that is in the basin, and apply the lintel and the two side
posts with the blood that is in the basin, and none of you shall go out
from the door of his house until the morning.
23 (Heb 11:28; Rev 7:3) For the Lord will pass through to kill the Egyptians.
And when He sees the blood upon the lintel and on the two side posts,
the Lord will pass over the door and will not permit the destroyer to come
to your houses to kill you.
24 (Ex 12:14) "And you shall observe this thing as an ordinance
to you and to your sons forever.
25 (Ex 3:8; 3:17) When you enter the land which the Lord will give you, according as He has promised, that you shall observe this service.
26 (Ex 13:14-15; Dt 32:7) And when your children shall say to you,
'What does this service mean to you?'
27 (Ex 4:31; 12:11) that you shall say, 'It is the sacrifice
of the Lord's Passover, who passed over the houses of the children
of Israel in Egypt, when He smote the Egyptians,
and delivered our households.' "
And the people bowed down and worshipped.
28 Then the children of Israel went and did so.
Just as the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did.

[1] And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
[2] This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the
first month of the year to you.
[3] Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day
of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the
house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
[4] And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his
neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.
[5] Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall
take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
[6] And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and
the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the
evening.
[7] And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts
and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
[8] And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and
unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
[9] Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire;
his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
[10] And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.
[11] And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your
feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD's passover.
[12] For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite
all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all
the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.
[13] And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
[14] And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by
an ordinance for ever.
[15] Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall
put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel. [16] And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work
shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.
[17] And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this
selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.
[18] In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye
shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.
[19] Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.
[20] Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.
[21] Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them,
Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the
passover.
[22] And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that
is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.
[23] For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he
seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will
pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.
[24] And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy
sons for ever.
[25] And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the LORD
will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this
service.
[26] And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?
[27] That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD's passover, who
passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.
[28] And the children of Israel went away, and did as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

The Tenth Plague: Death of the Firstborn

29 (Ex 4:23; Ps 78:51) At midnight the Lord smote all the firstborn
in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne
to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon
and all the firstborn of livestock.
30 (Ex 11:6; Am 5:17) Pharaoh rose up in the night,
he and all his servants and all the Egyptians,
and there was a great cry in Egypt,
for there was not a house where there was not someone dead.

[29] And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn
in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharoah that sat on his throne
unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.
[30] And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house
where there was not one dead.

The Exodus

31 (Ex 10:9) Then he called for Moses and Aaron at night and said,
"Rise up, and get out from among my people,
both you and the children of Israel, and go,
serve the Lord, as you have said.
32 (Ex 10:26) Also take your flocks and your herds, as you have said,
and be gone, and bless me also."
33 (Ps 105:38; Ex 11:1) The Egyptians urged the people, so that
they might send them out of the land in haste, for they said,
"We all will be dead."
34 So the people took their dough before it was leavened,
with their kneading troughs being bound up
in their clothes on their shoulders.
35 (Ex 3:21-22; 11:2-3) Now the children of Israel did according
to the word of Moses, and they requested of the Egyptians
articles of silver and articles of gold, and clothing.
36 (Ge 15:14; Ex 3:21-22) And the Lord gave the people favor
in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they gave them
what they requested. Thus they plundered the Egyptians.
37 (Ex 38:26; Nu 1:46) Then the children of Israel journeyed
from Rameses to Sukkoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot,
besides children.
38 (Nu 11:4) A mixed multitude also went up with them along
with flocks and herds, a large amount of livestock.
39 (Ex 6:1; 11:1) They baked unleavened cakes of the dough
which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened
because they were driven out of Egypt and could not linger,
nor had they prepared for themselves any food.
40 (Ge 15:13; Ac 7:6) Now the sojourning of the children of Israel
who lived in Egypt was four hundred and thirty years.
41 And at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, on the very day,
all the hosts of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt.
42 (Dt 16:1-6) It is a night to be observed to the Lord for bringing
them out from the land of Egypt. This is that night for the Lord
to be observed by all the children of Israel in their generations.

[31] And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get
you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said.
[32] Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.
[33] And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send
them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.
[34] And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders.
[35] And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: [36] And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so
that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.
[37] And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children.
[38] And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds,
even very much cattle.
[39] And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth
out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of
Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.
[40] Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was
four hundred and thirty years.
[41] And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years,
even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went
out from the land of Egypt.
[42] It is a night to be much observed unto the LORD for bringing them out
from the land of Egypt: this is that night of the LORD to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.

(The four hundred year promise to Abraham)

The Ordinance of Passover

43 (Ex 12:48; Nu 9:14) So the Lord said to Moses and Aaron:
This is the ordinance of the Passover:
No foreigner may eat of it.
44 (Ge 17:12-13) But every man's servant bought with money,
when you have circumcised him, may eat it.
45 (Lev 22:10) A foreigner or a hired servant shall not eat it.
46 (Nu 9:12; Jn 19:36; 19:33) In one house shall it be eaten.
You shall not carry any of the flesh outside of the house,
nor shall you break a bone of it.
47 (Ex 12:6; Nu 9:13) All the congregation of Israel shall keep it.
48 (Nu 9:14; Ex 12:43) Now when a stranger sojourns with you
and keeps the Passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised,
and then let him come near and keep it.
And he shall be as one that is born in the land.
However, no uncircumcised person shall eat of it.
49 (Nu 15:15-16; 15:29) The same law shall apply to him that is a native
and to the stranger who sojourns among you.
50 So all the children of Israel did it.
They did just as the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron.
51 (Ex 12:41) And that same day the Lord brought
the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their hosts.

[43] And the LORD said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the passover: There shall no stranger eat thereof:
[44] But every man's servant that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.
[45] A foreigner and an hired servant shall not eat thereof.
[46] In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof.
[47] All the congregation of Israel shall keep it.
[48] And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover
to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near
and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.
[49] One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.
[50] Thus did all the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
[51] And it came to pass the selfsame day, that the LORD did bring the
children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.

2) Our Daily Bread for 2 February 2026 titled
Following Jesus in Humility by Matt Lucas

Matthew 18:1-4

The Greatest in the Kingdom
Mk 9:33-37; Lk 9:46-48

1 (Mk 9:33-37; Lk 9:46-48) At that time the disciples came to -!Jes-!us, saying, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"
2 Jesus called a little child to Him and set him in their midst,
3 (1Pe 2:2; 1Co 14:20) and said, "Truly I say to you, unless you are
converted and become like little children, you will not enter
the kingdom of heaven.
4 (Mt 23:11-12) Therefore whoever humbles himself like this little child
is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

[1] At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the
greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
[2] And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of
them,
[3] And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
[4] Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same
is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Near our home is a famous garden where we often take walks with a young boy our family cares for. His favourite area is the Children's Garden, which has a small door large enough for him to run through but small enough to force me to crouch. He laughs as I drop to my knees and wiggle through the small opening to chase him.

The small garden gate reminds me of Jesus' object lesson in Matthew 18, where He calls a little child to His side to explain the type of person who will enter the kingdom of heaven (v. 2). It was a bold example, for in Christ's day to be a child was to be inconsequential and overlooked. Unlike today, their opinions and desires didn't matter. Jesus uses this description to highlight our human tendency to be noticed and seek power and influence.

Of course, Jesus wasnrCOt asking His disciples to become children again but rather pointing to the traits that mark those who serve him. The biggest
marker is humility - the person who "takes the lowly position"(v. 4)
and serves others.

The small garden door is a reminder that humility doesn't come naturally to us. Believers in Jesus, however, are to be this way. We're to follow our Saviour, who modeled this way of living by making "himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant" (Philippians 2:7).

Reflect & Pray

In what areas of your life do you thrust yourself to the forefront
and seek to be noticed? How can you learn to live more like Jesus?

Dear Father, please forgive me for my pride and self-interest.
Help me to be a little child who runs to You.

Week 5 Rejoice in Grace - Day 2 The Wardrobe of Joy Isaiah 61:10

10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God;
for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation,
He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God;
for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me
with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself
with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

On her wedding day, the bride dresses carefully for the ceremony
that is about to take place. Never before has she spent so much
time in preparation for one relatively brief event. When she
looks in the mirror and rejoices in her happiness, she responds not
out of vanity, but for sheer joy as she anticipates the coming ceremony.
God wants his people, lie that bride to be joyful, to rejoice in the Lord,
the Bridegroom. And he gives, through his grace,
the garments of joy to his beloved ones.
He clothes us, Isaiah says, with salvation, and covers us with
the robe of righteousness. The wardrobe that God provides is not merely
a utility garment, a coverall that hides our sin from his eyes.
It is his own righteousness in Christ, given to us as a free gift, so that
we might be united with him. And God himself, Isaiah says,
is filled with joy, adorning himself like a bridegroom.
When we truly see God's immeasurable gift in accepting us as him own,
we also will "greatly rejoice" in the Lord. He, the eternal god,
Creator of the universe, desires to be united with us, as a husband
desires his wife! God does not simply accept us grudgingly,
reminding us of our unworthiness to be with him. Rather, he celebrates
with unrestrained joy his oneness in Spirit with those he calls his own.
And we, having been fully forgiven
and set free from sin, can rejoice unashamedly as well.

Application

a) Have I ever felt ashamed to draw close to God? Why?

b) What does this verse tell me about God's attitude towards me?

4) From Prosperity Promises - Kenneth Copeland

Luke 12:21

21 "So is he who stores up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God."

21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

5) From a Book called God's Promises for you:

When you are Impatient

James 5:7-11

Patience and Prayer

7 Therefore be patient, brothers, until the coming of the Lord.
Notice how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth
and is patient with it until he receives the early and late rain.
8 You also be patient. Establish your hearts,
for the coming of the Lord is drawing near.
9 Do not grumble against one another, brothers, lest you be condemned.
Look, the Judge is standing at the door.
10 My brothers, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord,
as an example of suffering and patience.
11 Indeed we count them happy who endure.
You have heard of the patience of Job
and have seen the purpose of the Lord,
that the Lord is very gracious and merciful.

7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold,
the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord
draweth nigh.
9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned:
behold, the judge standeth before the door.
10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience
of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful,
and of tender mercy.

Remember God's promises when You pray

The Lord's prayer

Matthew 6:9-13

9 "Therefore pray in this manner:
Our Father who is in heaven,
hallowed be Your name.
10 (Mt 3:2; 4:17) Your kingdom come;
Your will be done
on earth, as it is in heaven.
11 (Pr 30:8; Isa 33:16) Give us this day our daily bread.
12 (Ex 34:7; Ps 32:1) And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
13 (1Co 10:13; Jn 17:15) And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."

9 After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Alberta

Quick facts on Muslims in Alberta

Alberta 2015 population 4121700

est Muslim Population 195240

CNMM Networks: Calgary and Edmonton

It is estimated that Calgary has 82000 Muslims and Edmonton another 50000 . Alberta may have a total as hihg as 195240 today.
Calgary is notable as the first Canadian city with a Muslim mayor. It's
become a prominent place of Islamic fundamentalism.
Edmonton's Muslim population is very diverse, with the largest group
coming from Tanzania, followed by Somalia, and then North African countries such as Egypt, Morocco, etc.
Muslims are coming to faith in Jesus! They overcome huge spiritual,
emotional and cultural hurdles to follow Christ. Yet their challenges still continue, especially in growing in discpleship. They often fell lost in our Western congreations, and euqally lost trying to find a church body with whom they can identify. some are even being lured into Christian cult groups.

Please join us in praying for:
- The church to reach out to the growing Muslim populations in Alberta.
- for Canadian churches to start contextualised discipleship ministries to Muslim-background believers.
- for Muslm-background believers to be well grounded spiritually and socially
in their faith and the Church.
- and for Muslim-background believers to share their faith with their not-yet-believing family and friendship networks.
- for Farsi and Arabic fellowships to grow in spiritual maturity and outreach. - for current and new workers among Muslims in these growing Muslim

30 days of prayer for the Muslim World 24 April to 23 May 2020

Under the Keep Praying page

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and, of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be decorated and festivals will be held.

For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of Islam.

You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
which means Blessed Eid!"

Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you know, and Muslims around the world:

- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.
Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,
"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
18 Even on My menservants and maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.
19 And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below: blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes. 21 And whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."[a]

Footnotes
Acts 2:21 Joel 2:28-32.
- Pray for Christian workers an organisations focused on seeing effective discipleship movements among Muslim people.
- Ask the Holy Spirit to continue to inspire you to have god's heart for Muslims, to see them as He does, and to be the light that then to Jesus. Matthew 5:14-15 : 14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under
a basket, but on a candlestick. And it gives light to all who are in the house."

Ideas for prayer

- Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you
- Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving Christ among Muslim people -
Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."
- When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!

My paternal side is of Muslim heritage and will offer this section to further call for Muslim converts to Christian and any other converts to Christianity (Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, ...) .
