    Day 32, 1 February 2026

Today at <a href="https://www.calvarycommunity.ca"> Calvary Community church </a>, Pastor Nathan Zeiber spoke on The Foundation determines what lasts.

    1 Peter 2:5-8

5 (Php 4:18; 1Pe 2:9; Isa 61:6) you also, as living stones, are being built
up into a spiritual house as a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual
sacrifices that are acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
6 (Isa 28:16; Eph 2:20) For also it is contained in the Scripture,
    "Look! I lay in Zion
    a chief cornerstone, elect, precious,
and he who believes in Him
shall never be put to shame." (Isa 28:16.)
7 (Mt 21:42; 2Co 2:16) Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious.
But to those who are disobedient,
"The stone that the builders rejected
    has become the cornerstone,"(Ps 118:22.)
    8 (Isa 8:14; Ro 9:22) and,
    "A stone of stumbling,
    and a rock of offense."(Isa 8:14.)
They stumble because they are disobedient to the word,
to which also they were appointed.

[5] Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
[6] Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not
    be confounded.
[7] Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the
    head of the corner,
[8] And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which
stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

    1) Exodus 7:1-13, Exodus 7:14-25 , Exodus 8 , Exodus 9

    EXODUS 7
1 So the Lord said to Moses, "See, I have made you a god to Pharaoh,
and Aaron your brother will be your prophet.
2 (Ex 4:15; 6:29) You shall speak all that I command you,
and Aaron your brother shall tell Pharaoh
to send the children of Israel out of his land.
3 (Ex 4:21; 11:9) But I will harden Pharaoh's heart and multiply My signs
and My wonders in the land of Egypt. 4 (Ex 6:6; 11:9) Nevertheless,
Pharaoh will not listen to you, so that I may lay My hand upon Egypt
and bring forth My armies and My people, the children of Israel,
out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
5 (Ex 7:17; 8:22) And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord
when I stretch forth My hand upon Egypt and bring out
the children of Israel from among them."
6 (Ex 7:2; Ge 6:22) So Moses and Aaron did it. Just as the Lord commanded them, so they did. 7 (Dt 31:2; 34:7) Moses was eighty years old,
and Aaron was eighty-three years old when they spoke to Pharaoh.

    Aaron's Rod Becomes a Snake

8 Now the Lord spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
9 (Isa 7:11; Jn 2:18) "When Pharaoh shall speak to you, saying,
    'Show a miracle,'
then you shall say to Aaron, 'Take your rod, and throw it before Pharaoh,'
and it shall become a serpent."
10 (Ex 4:3) So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh,
and they did what the Lord had commanded.
And Aaron threw down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants,
    and it became a serpent.
11 (Ex 7:22; Ge 41:8; Ex 8:7) Then Pharaoh also called the wise men
and the sorcerers. Then the magicians of Egypt likewise performed
with their secret arts. 12 For every man threw down his rod,
and they became serpents. But Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.
13 (Ex 4:21; 8:15) Nonetheless, Pharaoh's heart hardened so that
he would not listen to them, just as the Lord had said.

[1] And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh:
and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
[2] Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall
speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.
[3] And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders
    in the land of Egypt.
[4] But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon
Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel,
    out of the l

and of Egypt by great judgments.
[5] And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth
mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.
[6] And Moses and Aaron did as the LORD commanded them, so did they.
[7] And Moses was fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years
old, when they spake unto Pharaoh.
[8] And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
[9] When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent.
[10] And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD
had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
[11] Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the
magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.
[12] For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.
[13] And he hardened Pharaoh's heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as
    the LORD had said.

The First Plague: Waters Turn to Blood

14 (Ex 8:15; 10:1_ The Lord said to Moses, "Pharaoh's heart is hardened.
He refuses to let the people go.
    15 (Ex 8:20; 2:5) Go to Pharaoh
in the morning as he goes out to the water, and you shall stand
by the river's bank to meet him. You must take the rod which
was turned to a serpent in your hand.
16 (Ex 3:18; 9:1; 3:12) Then you are to say to him,
'The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to you, saying,
"Let My people go, so that they may serve Me in the wilderness."
But up to this point you have not listened!
17 (Ex 4:9; 5:2) Thus says the Lord, "In this you shall know that
I am the Lord: Indeed, I will strike the waters of the Nile with the rod
that is in my hand, and they shall be turned to blood.
18 (Ex 7:24; 7:21) And the fish that are in the river shall die,
and the river shall stink so that the Egyptians shall be weary of
    drinking the river's water."'"
19 (Ex 8:5-6; 8:16) Then the Lord spoke to Moses,
"Say to Aaron, 'Take your rod, and stretch out your hand over
the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, over their canals, over their ponds,
and over all their pools of water, so that they may become blood.
And there will be blood throughout all the land of Egypt,
both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.' "
20 (Ps 78:44; 105:29) Moses and Aaron did so, just as the Lord
commanded. And he lifted up the rod and struck the waters
that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh,
and in the sight of his servants, and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.
21 (Ex 7:18) The fish that were in the river died,
the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water ofthe river. Blood was everywhere throughout the land of Egypt.
22 (Ex 7:11) Nevertheless, the magicians of Egypt did the same with
their secret arts, and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he did not listen
to them, as the Lord had said.
23 Then Pharaoh turned and went into his house,
and he did not concern himself with this either.
24 So all the Egyptians dug
around about the river for water to drink, because they could not drink
of the water of the river.
25 Seven days passed after the Lord had struck the river.

[14] And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh's heart is hardened, he refuseth
    to let the people go.
    [15] Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goeth out unto the water;
and thou shalt stand by the river's brink against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thine hand.
[16] And thou shalt say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath sent me
unto thee, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the
wilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou wouldest not hear.
[17] Thus saith the LORD, In this thou shalt know that I am the LORD:
behold, I will smite with the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.
[18] And the fish that is in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall lothe to drink of the water of the river.
[19] And the LORD spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and
stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon
their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land
of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.
[20] And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh,
and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.
[21] And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.
[22] And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and
Pharaoh's heart was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as the LORD
    had said.
[23] And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he set his
    heart to this also.
    [24] And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink;
for they could not drink of the water of the river.
[25] And seven days were fulfilled, after that the LORD had smitten the
    river.

    EXODUS 8

    The Second Plague: Frogs

1 (Ex 3:18; 3:12) Then the Lord said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh and say to him, 'Thus says the Lord: Let My people go, so that they may serve Me.
2 (Ex 7:14; 9:2) But if you refuse to let them go,
then I will plague all your borders with frogs.
3 And the river will swarm with frogs, which shall go up
and come into your house, and into your bedchamber,
and on your bed, and into the houses of your servants,
and on your people, and into your ovens, and into your kneading troughs.
4 So the frogs shall come upon you, upon your people, and upon all
    your servants.' "
5 (Ex 7:19) Then the Lord said to Moses, "Say to Aaron, 'Stretch forth
your hand with your rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up on the land of Egypt.' "
6 (Ps 78:45; 105:30) Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt,
and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt.
7 (Ex 7:11; 7:22) The |e-!magicians did the same with their secret arts
and brought up frogs upon the land of Egypt.
8 (Ex 9:28; 10:17) Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron,
and said, "Entreat the Lord, that He may take away the frogs from me,
and from my people, and I will let the people go,
so that they may sacrifice to the Lord."
9 Moses said to Pharaoh, "Glory yourself over me: When shall
I entreat for you, your servants, and your people,
to destroy the frogs from you and your houses,
that they may remain in the river only?"
10 (Ex 9:14; Dt 33:26) And he said, "Tomorrow."
Then he said, "Be it according to your word, in order that
you may know that there is no one like the Lord our God.
11 The frogs shall depart from you, and from your houses,
from your servants, and from your people.
They shall remain in the river only."
12 (Ex 8:30; 9:33) Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh,
and Moses cried out to the Lord concerning the frogs
which he had brought against Pharaoh.
13 Then the Lord did according to the word of Moses.
And the frogs died out of the houses, the villages, and the fields.
14 So they gathered them together in heaps, and the land stank.
15 (Ex 7:4; Ecc 8:11) But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief,
he hardened his heart and did not listen to them,
    as the Lord had said.

[1] And the LORD spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him,
Thus saith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
[2] And if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy
    borders with frogs:
[3] And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall
go up and come into thine house, and into thy bedchamber, and upon
thy bed, and into the house of thy servants, and upon thy people,
and into thine ovens, and into thy kneadingtroughs:
[4] And the frogs shall come up both on thee, and upon thy people,
    and upon all thy servants.
[5] And the LORD spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch forth
thine hand with thy rod over the streams, over the rivers, and
over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt.
[6] And Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the
frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt.
[7] And the magicians did so with their enchantments, and brought up
frogs upon the land of Egypt.
[8] Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, Intreat the LORD,
that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will
let the people go, that they may do sacrifice unto the LORD.
[9] And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for
thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs
from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only?
[10] And he said, To morrow. And he said, Be it according to thy word:
that thou mayest know that there is none like unto the LORD our God.
[11] And the frogs shall depart from thee, and from thy houses, and from thy servants, and from thy people; they shall remain in the river only.
[12] And Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh: and Moses cried unto the
LORD because of the frogs which he had brought against Pharaoh.
[13] And the LORD did according to the word of Moses; and the frogs died out
of the houses, out of the villages, and out of the fields.
[14] And they gathered them together upon heaps: and the land stank.
[15] But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.

    The Third Plague: Gnats

16 Then the Lord said to Moses, "Say to Aaron, 'Stretch out your rod,
and strike the dust of the land, so that it may become gnats throughout
all the land of Egypt.' "
17 (Ps 105:31) They did so, for Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod
and smote the dust of the earth, and it became gnats on man and on beast.
All the dust of the land became gnats throughout all the land of Egypt.
18 (Ex 7:11; 9:11) Then the magicians tried with their secret arts
to bring forth gnats, but they could not, so there were gnats
    upon man and beast.
19 (Ps 8:3; Lk 11:20) Then the magicians said to Pharaoh,
"This is the finger of God." Nevertheless, Pharaoh's heart was hardened,
and he did not listen to them, just as the Lord had said.

[16] And the LORD said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy rod, and smite the dust of the land, that it may become lice throughout all the land
    of Egypt.
[17] And they did so; for Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and
smote the dust of the earth, and it became lice in man, and in beast; all
the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.
[18] And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice,
but they could not: so there were lice upon man, and upon beast.
[19] Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD
    had said.

    The Fourth Plague: Flies

20 (Ex 7:15; 8:1; 9:13) So the Lord said to Moses, "Rise up early
in the morning and stand before Pharaoh as he comes forth to
the water and say to him, 'Thus says the Lord: Let My people go,
so that they may serve Me.
21 Otherwise, if you will not let My people go,
indeed I will send swarms of flies on you, and on your servants,
and on your people, and into your houses.
And the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies
and also the ground wherever they are.
22 (Ex 9:4; 9:6)" 'I will in that day set apart the land of Goshen,
in which My people dwell, so that no swarms of flies shall be there,
in order that you may know that I am the Lord in the midst of the earth.
23 I will put a division between My people and your people.
Tomorrow this sign will happen.' "
24 (Ps 78:45; 105:31) The Lord did so, and great swarms of flies
came into the house of Pharaoh, and into his servants' houses,
and into all the land of Egypt.
The land was corrupted because of the swarms of flies.
25 (Ex 8:8; 9:27) Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said,
"Go, sacrifice to your God in the land."
26 (Ge 43:32; 46:34) Moses said, "It is not right to do so, for what we shall sacrifice to the Lord our God would be an abomination to the Egyptians.
If we shall sacrifice what is an abomination of the Egyptians
before their eyes, will they not stone us?
27 (Ex 3:18; 3:12) We will go three days' journey into the wilderness,
and then we will sacrifice to the Lord our God, as He shall command us."
    28 (Ex 8:8; 9:28; 1Ki 13:6)Pharaoh said, "I will let you go,
that you may sacrifice to the Lord your God in the wilderness.
Only you shall not go very far away. Make entreaty for me."
29 (Ex 8:15; 8:8) Moses said, "Indeed, I am leaving you,
and I will plead with the Lord that the swarms of flies may
depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people
tomorrow. But let not Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more by not
letting the people go to sacrifice to the Lord."
30 (Ex 8:12) Moses went away from Pharaoh and entreated the Lord.
31 Then the Lord did according to the word of Moses, and He removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants,
and from his people. Not one remained.
32 (Ex 8:15; 4:21) Nevertheless, Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also, nor would he let the people go.

[20] And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; lo, he cometh forth to the water; and say unto him, Thus
saith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
[21] Else, if thou wilt not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies,
and also the ground whereon they are.
[22] And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people
dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end thou mayest know
that I am the LORD in the midst of the earth.
[23] And I will put a division between my people and thy people: to morrow shall this sign be.
[24] And the LORD did so; and there came a grievous swarm of flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his servants' houses, and into all the land of Egypt: the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm of flies.
[25] And Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said, Go ye, sacrifice
to your God in the land.
[26] And Moses said, It is not meet so to do; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to the LORD our God: lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, and will they not stone us? [27] We will go three days' journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to
the LORD our God, as he shall command us.
[28] And Pharaoh said, I will let you go, that ye may sacrifice to the LORD your God in the wilderness; only ye shall not go very far away: intreat for
    me.
[29] And Moses said, Behold, I go out from thee, and I will intreat the LORD that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and
from his people, to morrow: but let not Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the LORD.
[30] And Moses went out from Pharaoh, and intreated the LORD.
[31] And the LORD did according to the word of Moses; and he removed the
swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; there remained not one.
[32] And Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also, neither would he let
    the people go.

    EXODUS 9

    The Fifth Plague: Livestock Die

1 (Ex 8:1) Then the Lord said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh, and speak to him, 'Thus says the Lord, the God of the Hebrews: Let My people go,
so that they may serve Me.
2 (Ex 8:2) For if you refuse to let them go
    and continue holding them,
3 (Ex 7:4; Ac 13:11) indeed, the hand of the Lord
will be upon your livestock which are in the field, upon the horses,
upon the donkeys, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep.
There shall be a very grievous pestilence.
4 (Ex 8:22) The Lord shall separate
between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt,
and nothing shall die of all that belongs to the children of Israel.' "
5 So the Lord appointed a set time, saying,
"Tomorrow the Lord shall do this thing in the land."
6 (Ps 78:48; Ex 9:25) Then the Lord did this thing the next day,
so that all the livestock of Egypt died, but not one of the livestock
of the children of Israel died.
    7 (Ex 7:14; 8:32) Pharaoh sent,
and there was not one of the livestock of the children of Israel
dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened,
so that he did not let the people go.

[1] Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus
saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me. [2] For if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,
[3] Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field,
upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon
the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.
[4] And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children's of Israel.
[5] And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the LORD shall do
    this thing in the land.
[6] And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.
[7] And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let
    the people go.

    The Sixth Plague: Boils

8 Then the Lord said to Moses and to Aaron, "Take for yourselves handfuls
of ashes from a kiln, and let Moses toss it toward the heavens
    in the sight of Pharaoh.
9 (Dt 28:27; Rev 16:2) It shall become
fine dust over all the land of Egypt and shall be a boil breaking
forth with blisters upon man and beast, throughout all the land of Egypt."
10 So they took the ashes from a kiln and stood before Pharaoh.
Then Moses tossed it up toward the heavens, and it became a boil breaking
forth with blisters upon man and beast.
11 The magicians could not stand before
Moses because of the boils, for the boils were upon the magicians
    and upon all the Egyptians.
12 (Ex 4:21) Moreover, the Lord hardened
the heart of Pharaoh, so that he did not listen to them,
just as the Lord had spoken to Moses.

[8] And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of
ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the
    sight of Pharaoh.
[9] And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.
[10] And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with
blains upon man, and upon beast.
    [11] And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils;
for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.
[12] And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.

    The Seventh Plague: Hail

13 (Ex 8:20; 7:15) Then the Lord said to Moses, "Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say to him, 'Thus says the Lord,
the God of the Hebrews: Let My people go, so that they may serve Me.
14 (Ex 8:10) For I will at this time send all My plagues upon you
and your servants and your people, so that you may know
that there is none like Me in all the earth.
15 (Ex 3:20) For by now
I could have stretched out My hand, so that I might strike you
and your people with pestilence, and you would be cut off from the earth.
16 (Ro 9:17; Pr 16:4; Ps 83:17-18) But, indeed, for this cause I have raised you up, in order to show in you My power and so that My name may be
    declared throughout all the earth.
17 Still, you exalt yourself against My people by forbidding them to go.
18 Certainly, tomorrow about this time
I will cause it to rain a very severe hail, such as has not happened in Egypt
since it was founded until now.
    19 Send therefore now
and bring your livestock and all that you have in the field to safety.
Every man and beast which shall be found in the field
and not brought home when the hail comes down upon them will die.' "
20 He that feared the word of the Lord among the servants of Pharaoh
made his servants and his livestock flee into the houses.
21 But he that failed to regard the word of the Lord left his servants
and his livestock in the field.
22 (Rev 16:21) So the Lord said to Moses, "Stretch forth your hand
toward the heavens, so that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt,
upon man and beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout
    the land of Egypt."
23 (Jos 10:11; Ps 18:13) Moses stretched forth
his rod toward the heavens, and the Lord sent thunder and hail,
and fire ran along upon the ground. So the Lord rained hail upon
    the land of Egypt.
24 So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail.
It was so severe that there had been none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
25 The hail struck all the land of Egypt,
all that was in the field, both man and beast,
and the hail struck every herb of the field and broke every tree of the field. 26 (Ex 9:4; 11:7) Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.
27 (Ex 10:16; 2Ch 12:6) Then Pharaoh sent and called for Moses and Aaron,
and said to them, "I have sinned this time. The Lord is righteous,
and I and my people are wicked.
    28 (Ex 8:8; 10:17) Entreat the Lord,
for there has been enough of God's mighty thunder and hail,
and I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer."
29 (1Ki 8:22; 8:38) Moses said to him, "As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread out my hands to the Lord. The thunder shall cease,
and there shall no longer be any more hail,
so that you may know that the earth is the Lord's.
30 (Isa 26:10) But as for you and your servants,
I know that you will not yet fear the Lord God."
31 (Ru 1:22; 2:23) Now the flax and the barley were struck,
for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was in bud.
32 But the wheat and the spelt were not struck, for they grow up later.
33 (Ex 9:29; 8:12) So Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh
and spread out his hands to the Lord, and the thunders and hail ceased,
and the rain was no longer poured upon the earth.
34 (Ex 7:14) However, when Pharaoh saw that the rain a
nd the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more,
and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
35 (Ex 4:21) The heart of Pharaoh hardened,
and he would not let the children of Israel go,
just as the Lord had spoken by Moses.

[13] And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews,
Let my people go, that they may serve me.
[14] For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon
thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.
[15] For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy
people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.
[16] And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in
thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.
[17] As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?
[18] Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very
grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof
    even until now.
[19] Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in
the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field,
and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.
[20] He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made
his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:
[21] And he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.
[22] And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven,
that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast,
and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.
[23] And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent
thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD
rained hail upon the land of Egypt.
[24] So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such
as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation. [25] And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.
[26] Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was
    there no hail.
[27] And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are
    wicked.
[28] Intreat the LORD (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.
[29] And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the LORD; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth is
    the LORD's.
[30] But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.
[31] And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled.
[32] But the wheat and the rie were not smitten: for they were not grown up. [33] And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his
hands unto the LORD: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.
[34] And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
[35] And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the
children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.

    Philippians 1:3-11

    Philippians 1:3-8

    Paul's Prayer for the Philippians

    A Heart of Gratitude

3 (Ro 1:8-9; 2Ti 1:3) I thank my God for every reminder of you.
[3] I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,

    A heart of Joyful Prayer

4 (Ro 1:9) In every prayer of mine for you all, I have always made requests with joy,
[4] Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,

    A Heart of Belonging

5 (Ac 16:12-40; Php 1:7) due to your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now.
    [5] For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;

    A heart of Assurance

6 (1Co 1:8; Jn 6:29) I am confident of this very thing, that He who began
a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ.
[6] Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work
in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

    A heart of Affection

7 (2Co 7:3; Ac 20:23) It is right for me to think this of you all because
I have you in my heart, since both in my imprisonments and in the defense
and confirmation of the gospel, you all are fellow partakers of my grace.
[7] Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you
in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and
confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.

8 (Ro 1:9; 9:1) For God is my witness, how I long after you all with
    the affection of Jesus Christ.
[8] For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

    Philippians 1:9-11.

    A) God's Love is everything
    B) God's love gives us strength to stand

God's love to me - God's love through me.

9 (1Th 3:12; Col 1:9; 3:10) And this I pray, that your love may abound yet
more and more in knowledge and in all discernment,
10 (1Th 3:13; Ro 12:2) that you may approve things that are excellent
so that you may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,

[9] And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in
    knowledge and in all judgment;
[10] That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere
    and without offence till the day of Christ;

    i) Love is the behaviour that is based on the knowledge, understanding
and the truth of God's word - Meet truth, love's best friend
ii) Love is behaviour that is both pure and blameless - Unselfish love

Phillipians 1:11 (Col 1:6; Jn 15:8) being filled with the fruit of righteousness, which comes through Jesus Christ, for the glory and praise of God.

[11] Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus
Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

At the last night of summer camp, my teenage self felt conspicuous as I stood alone in a group of campers. When one of them mocked me, I felt hurt. I ran back to my tent, pretending to sleep when the group leader checked on me.
The next morning I avoided her attempt to talk about it.

She later wrote to me, helping me understand that God truly cared for me. She quoted from the apostle Paul: We can be "confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus=" (Philippians 1:6). I felt like the apostle's words were directed
    right to me.

Paul wrote to the church at Philippi, which he'd planted over a decade earlier, to encourage them to root their love for God and each other
"in knowledge and depth of insight" (v. 9). God would carry on His work in
and through them as He filled them "with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ" (v. 11). At the time I didn't understand the original context, but I started to comprehend that my identity as one loved by God came from knowing and accepting the love of Jesus.

God desires that we receive His love and that it would abound in us more
and more. As He fills us with His joy and peace, we'll grow in the knowledge not only of Him but of His good work in us.

    Reflect & Pray

How does knowing that God will complete His work in you shape you?
How can you root your identity in Christ more deeply?

Creator God, You made me and love me.
Please help me look to You always for love, joy, and help.

Week 5 Rejoice in Grace - Day 1 Call to the Lord - 2 Samuel 22:3-4

    3 (Ge 15:1; Ps 9:9) the God of my strength, in whom I will trust;
my shield and the horn of my salvation,
    my fortress and my sanctuary;
my Savior, You save me from violence.
4 (Ps 48:1; 96:4) I call upon the Lord, who is praiseworthy,
and I am saved from my enemies.

3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust:
He is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge,
My saviour; thou savest me from violence.
4 I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised:
So shall I be saved from mine enemies.

In the old Days of Television Western, we could always tell who the enemy was. The bad guys wore black hats; the evil villain had a scar across
his cheek or a patch over one eye. But real life is
not quite so simple . Enemies come in many forms, and often are not easy to recognise. Sin is an enemy; even those we love can seek
    to undermine our faith;
modern materialism and distorted values lead us away from biblical principles. These enemies may not seek our death in a physical sense,
but their influence results in spiritual death or, at the very least, immaturity.
    Yet God promises to rescue us from our enemies. David describes the Lord as a "rock", a "shield", a "stronghold", and a "refuge". God provides a stable foundation for our faith; he products us from the attacks of the enemy;
he offers a place of rest in battle.
Our battles are usually not physical ones, but rather spiritual
    and emotional wars.
We struggle with difficult relationships, the burdens of the past,
the subtle accusations of the devil.
But these enemies can be overcome. David says,
"I call to the Lord, who is worthy of praise" .
When we turn to the Lord, trust his Word, acknowledge his
worthiness, we put our own problems and difficulties in perspective.
We see that God is able to rescue us, and has promised to do so.
And as we respond to his grace by focusing
on him, we abandon trust in ourselves and allow him to do what he promised.

    Application

    a) What kinds of enemies do I face?

    b) How have I tried to deal with those enemies by myself?

    c) How can today's verses help me turn to the sources of my rescue?

    4) Prosperity verses from Kenneth Copeland

    Deut 28:11

11 (Dt 28:4; 30:9) The Lord will make you overflow in prosperity,
in the offspring of your body, in the offspring of your livestock,
and in the produce of your ground, in the land which the Lord swore
to your fathers to give you.

11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

    5) From a Book called God's Promises for you:

    When you are lonely

    1 John 4:16b-18

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.
17 (1Jn 2:5; 2:28) In this way God's love is perfected in us,
so that we may have boldness on the Day of Judgment, because as He is,
so are we in this world.
18 (Ro 8:15; 2Ti 1:7) There is no fear in love,
but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. Whoever fears is not perfect in love.

God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness
in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear:
because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Remember God's promises when You pray

    The Lord's prayer

    Matthew 6:9-13

9 "Therefore pray in this manner:
Our Father who is in heaven,
    hallowed be Your name.
    10 (Mt 3:2; 4:17) Your kingdom come;
    Your will be done
on earth, as it is in heaven.
11 (Pr 30:8; Isa 33:16) Give us this day our daily bread.
12 (Ex 34:7; Ps 32:1) And forgive us our debts,
    as we forgive our debtors.
13 (1Co 10:13; Jn 17:15) And lead us not into temptation,
    but deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."

9 After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

    Alberta

Quick facts on Muslims in Alberta

    Alberta 2015 population 4121700

    est Muslim Population 195240

    CNMM Networks: Calgary and Edmonton

It is estimated that Calgary has 82000 Muslims and Edmonton another 50000 . Alberta may have a total as hihg as 195240 today.
Calgary is notable as the first Canadian city with a Muslim mayor. It's
become a prominent place of Islamic fundamentalism.
Edmonton's Muslim population is very diverse, with the legrest group
coming from Tanzania, followed by Somalia, and then North African countries such as Egypt, Morocco, etc.
Muslims are coming to faith in JEsus! They overcome huge spiritual,
emotional and cultural hurdles to follow Christ. Yet their challenges still continue, especially in growing in discpleship. They often fell lost in our Western congreations, and euqally lost trying to find a church body with whom they can identify. some are even being lured into Christian cult groups.

Please join us in praying for:
    - The church to reach out to the growing Muslim populations in Alberta.
    - for Canadian churches to start contextualised discipleship ministries to Muslim-background believers.
    - for Muslm-background believers to be well grounded spiritually and socially

30 days of prayer for the Muslim World 24 April to 23 May 2020

    Under the Keep Praying page

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and, of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be decorated and festivals will be held.

For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of Islam.

You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
    which means Blessed Eid!"

Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you know, and Muslims around the world:

    - Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.
Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,
    "that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
18 Even on My menservants and maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.
19 And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below: blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes. 21 And whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."[a]

    Footnotes
    Acts 2:21 Joel 2:28-32.
    - Pray for Christian workers an organisations focused on seeing effective discipleship movements among Muslim people.
    - Ask the Holy Spirit to continue to inspire you to have god's heart for Muslims, to see them as He does, and to be the light that then to Jesus. Matthew 5:14-15 : 14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under
a basket, but on a candlestick. And it gives light to all who are in the house."

    Ideas for prayer

    - Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you
    - Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving Christ among Muslim people -
Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."
    - When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!

My paternal side is of Muslim heritage and will offer this section to further call for Muslim converts to Christian and any other converts to Christianity (Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, ...) .
