    The sub-board would to be configured for FidoNet networking, correct.

    I responded to this in the sports area on my non-synchronet bbs but, yes,
    my recollection is that leaving the 'yes' off of the 'fidonet echomail'
    option will cause synchronet to "reject" any FTN traffic in that echo. I learned that by accident. ;) I think that could fix your issue.
