    So when he turned up and the arresting officer didn't the judge
    promptly dismissed the ticket and Dad thanked him and carried out to
    see Grandma.

    Seems like the Constitution worked out fine for Dad :)

    I for one love seeing American civilians shot dead by the government.
    There isn't enough of that these days.
