Strange - both my late father and I have received speeding tickets
while in the US. I promptly paid my ticket (there was an online
payment portal cited on the back of the ticket) while my father (who >regularly visited my grandmother as long as she lived) planned his
next trip to the US to see her the day of the traffic court session.
So when he turned up and the arresting officer didn't the judge
promptly dismissed the ticket and Dad thanked him and carried out to
see Grandma.
Seems like the Constitution worked out fine for Dad :)
