And exactly how did the author claim to have knowledge of all of these things?
The author is claiming to be George Sulzbach (a.k.a., Stinky G). Stinky G was Will Donkey's slurp-puppet for... decades... and would certainly have had firsthand knowledge of everything depicted in the poem.
Stinky G was an active participant.
That would appear to be the consensus.
Of course, the real question here is whether the poem was actually penned by Stinky G -- who many of us believe to have passed on to the big homeless camp in the sky.
The poem is questionable on at least three counts:
1 ) The probability that Stinky died a year ago.
2 ) The poem is better written than any of Stinky's previous efforts.
3 ) The poem is signed "George Sulzbach," whereas Stinky was prone to sign his "poetics" (as he called them) as "General Zod."
OTOH, the speaker does capture the essence of the Stinky/Donkey relationship, and with a knowing tone that strikes me as believable.
I'm giving it a 50% probability of being a genuine Stinky G.
