But that doesn't prevent people from using Gmail addresses on other news servers.

The amount of spam containing @gmail.com addresses has fallen through
the floor. Thankfully.

And with responsible admins like Retro Guy, when a bad actor does use a non-Google server, well they get evicted. :-D

Especially if (as I took it) they're rate limited how fast they can post messages, the damage is limited and hopefully the cost in their time is
too high and they just go home.

Who knows why they even do it? Seems like it'd be way more effort than
it's worth to me.
