Yes, there are some good people from Minnesota. But it's people like Tampon Tim that destroys that nice person/state image.

You are confusing knowledge with wisdom.

That explains it. These (mostly) southern state people have ancestors who taught them about the death and misery that Democrats bring, because they lived it. Meanwhile, idiots in the northern states get their "knowledge" from the TV (not even from a damn history book that would easily point out which party is known for hurting people.)

Subversion of the public schools. You start with 4 generations ago and dumb them down a bit. They can't see that they are dumb, so they allow their children to get dumbed down even more.

That really is sad, but it explains it. My dad was in the army, and I think that's part of who he is, and he don't let the media control him. He encourages me to go to college, but he had no clue that they would successfully brainwash me there. He thought they'd just teach me how to be more financially successful. So there's that side of the story too; some people are lucky enough to have it in them to break the chains.

Then you focus on young women so that they don't have children. I think Brittany Hughes (MRCtv) pointed this out. If you take away children, women focus their "nurturing" energies elsewhere. And being able to be manipulated by the "crowd", they can be manipulated into nuturing people who will kill (and worse) them.

She might be on to something, but the same goes for anyone who is lacking something they long for. Maybe in our case our northerner dummies don't get enough vitamin D from the sun, and some of them can't bear it, so they compensate by doing stupid things like driving into police officers.

I think it's more incidious than that.

As a kid, my parents encouraged learning and even in winter, when I didn't want to go out as often, I still explored mentally.

But what happens to a kid when their parents don't encourage learning?

What happens when teachers don't encourage learning and exploring and critical thinking?

When I was in school, I usually got along pretty well with my teachers. But looking back, I can see that the ones that I didn't get along with were very similar: Incompetent. "Don't ask questions. Just do what you're told." And today, those bad teachers are the norm, not the exception - by design.

It accumulated over time by creating incentives.

1. Power to the Unions - which makes education seem unnecessary. "Look at how much I can make and I didn't graduate high school!"
2. A population that thinks education isn't necessary doesn't want to pay for it. So low pay for the teachers.
3. Good teachers have a choice: Work in a place where you won't get paid well and will be disrespected, or do something else. I've known good teachers who've left the education system for this reason.
4. Education is required by the state, so they have to hire someone. So we get the people who literally can't do anything else.

Not necessairly a valid assumption. It all depends on the situation.

Remember that this was a long-term thing. They didn't want this to happen overnight because people would notice what they were doing.

I get what you mean about the "counterculture." In the late 80s, the cool kids were the ones who were into heavy metal. But then it shifted towards rap/wiggerization in the early 90s. But despite anyone's musical preferences, we were all wanna be's to some extent, and heavily brainwashed by television and radio. That's why they'll do whatever Bon Jovi or Dr Dre say.

But the southerners (I suspect) are more open to country music, and fortunately most country singers have nothing but good values and good advice.
