We got up early for the first 4th of July parade and then went to another later in the evening. Our son absolutely loves parades, so this was his big day and we had to go to both in the area. Long hot day, but it was fun. At least it rained a bit on the 2nd parade that cooled things off some.

I just went outside a few minutes ago and it is like an oven. Humidity is super high and really hot. I think I'll do the outside stuff another time.

Humidity is high up here on the cape. We get nice breezes but my wife is a native and dislikes AC. She finally broke down and accepted a window unit from a friend who was moving. It will go in the bedroom today. Mosquitos are horrific right now too. It's a jungle out there :O

The minisplit in my office runs all year - even in the winter. Between the southern exposure and heat from the PC, it has to stay on unless it gets REALLY cold (like low teens/single digits).

The AC units have been going full blast for weeks now. July is typically the warmest month of the year on average, slightly beating August. The combination of Bermuda high pressure and leftover from the tropical storm to our west has created a massive heat pump directly from the south. We have had high southerly winds today as we are sandwiched between the two systems and getting high hot/humid air from the south.
