What's your view on a web based forum? Usenet is virtually dead now, >although certain sites eg uklm, are still quite popular.

Web forums cost even more to run than Usenet groups, although they can, to a certain extent, offset that by carrying advertising. But the web seems to attract undesiriables far more than usenet does, these days. Moderating a
web forum is a much more intensive task than moderating a Usenet group.

You could have a look at these and see if you think they're a viable alternative to ukrc:

    https://www.christianforums.com/forums/uk-and-ireland.206/ https://www.savedbygrace.org.uk/forums/index.php https://christianchat.com/christian-family-forum/christians-in-uk.139164/

Plus, if you're on Facebook, there's this:

    https://www.facebook.com/groups/christiansintheuk/

Personally, I think I still prefer it here.

    Mark

    Fair enough

Mark, I owe you an apology. When I typed a response to this, I hit reply instead of follow up (thunderbird) I don't have it set up to reply to
posters direct so it said can't send. I'm lazy so I type the usenet
address and delete the poster name, and I must have typed
uk.legal.moderation (it auto completes) instead of ukrc, because somehow
it has ended up there instead, sorry.
