May I just say "Elbows Up" and let you know that on my most recent
trip to BC, I brought home more Canadian Whisky and Maple Syrup than I
have ever done before. Anything to help the cause!

Well Thanks muchly. Enjoy both ...
Our Ontario Premier made a great show of dumping a big bottle
of Canadian whisky on the ground ! recently - Crown Royal -
    - to protest the big foreign-owned company moving a bottling plant
    to the USA.

Really ? For these three links I see :

    : zero adverts
: 1 short skippable advert at the start
    : zero adverts

And I don't have any youtube subscription or anything -
    - is yours worse than that ?
Even when I watch a full set video on youtube 30 - 40 minutes
I'll usually see only the one advert ..

Problem is when I do that, I get the first half second or so, then it
pauses, pressing "play" will give me another couple of frames, and so
    on.

What I have been using with varying degrees of success is "Freetube",
which is a standalone program (rather than a website). That usually
works, but has occasional spasms of IP addresses being blocked.

For YT I use Tampermonkey and this https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/386925-youtube-ad-cleaner-include-non-skippable-ads-works

No adverts and no playback issues. I also have ublock origin for everything else. :-)

I only tried it to see if I could get the adblocker to work without an extra extension and ended up keeping it for everything.

I got the Vivaldi adblocker doing everything but Youtube and weirdly Lidl so I have ublock again. Tampermonkey does lots of Youtube scripts, I wrote one to switch to recently uploaded as I do this manually every time anyway. :-)
