As in "never do today what you can put off until tomorrow"? A principle that
I am a firm believer in.

Or maybe not, since Matthew 6:25-34 sayeth

'Take therefore no thought for the morrow'

There is that other bit in there about
"Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."
    but that's depressing.

Question: I had to look up the details, and didn't have a clew about
the chapter & verse, but why does a life-long agnostic have stuff like
    this in his brain?

Because, at one time, the schools used repetition to put it there,
either in Religious Education lessons or during the morning assembly.

    That's creepy!

That's twice those verses have come up here within four days.

T'other occasion was after talking with somebody about mindfulness.

i.e. Living in the present and not allowing the past or future to
    depress or worry you.
