You probably need to look further across the path, to where it says news.highwinds-media.com... which doesn't really mean much to me, as
they're a reseller that I don't knowingly interact with directly.

The X-Complaints-To header is the giveaway.

So, I assume you're paying for some other service with them, and
realised they offer usenet too?

I'm already paying for Usenet from them, but normally access it via an automated downloader.

It did seem unlikely that I'd have been targetted personally, but one
never knows who one might have upset.

Thanks for that. Curiously the only email I got was a reminder to pay! I
just thought that they hadn't bothered sending the 'termination of service'

Bad form etc. - but I have received a reply from NIN as follows,
"There's no need or option to pay again. You can continue to use the
service until it's shut down in two years."
