I didn't used to ride the Blackbird much here as it was too big and not suitable for the fun roads. When I lived in the UK I used to ride a lot
(and did tons of track days).

I've had to change bikes recently to get more friendly ergonomics. It

trips into France & Spain.
Those Voge trail/adv bikes seem popular in Spain.

I've had more fun this year riding the two single cylinder bikes in
my garage (DR200SE & KLR650) than the FJR. Even the ~200 kg KLR is
starting to feel like a big heavy bike.

Restricting yourself to riding in the garage won't help?

With the thick sock, the boot Is a struggle to get on (I have had a
couple of short rides, Peg nore comfy than XJR, but still too uncomfortable.
Currently still wearing sandals as shoes are a no-no.

Had a few of those (and 50/70) back in the day. Used to be able to
pick them up for a song, used them when I was rebuilding my XT or
otherwise between bikes for financial reasons. Actually not a bad bike

Tip: Watch and learn some language from Red Green and put it on thick.
I worked in an industry were native english speakers were either
english, scottish (luckily I already knew the difference - Most here
call everyone on the islands 'english', which only ends bad) or
american. Then there was one guy:
"What no! I am canadian."
"Really, you sound american."
Next shift he brought his passport to show. Was ~25 years ago. This
year, I guess the reaction would be more severe.

Unfortunately Web sites running on the *fora* platform do not seem to

How about leftover decals?
No doubt YOU'LL NEED some tan handlebar grips to finish the job to
good effect:
