I've just stolen this clip, taken on the group ride prior to the one I'm
    going on. https://youtube.com/shorts/jVicGzxNRFU?feature=share

    WTH have I done?

I'm wondering how they get the support vehicle(s) through.

Perhaps someone took a wrong turning.

When the clip started I was prepared to be impressed, assuming they
were going up the 'path', or at the very least going to ride down it.
The reality was, in comparison, slightly disappointing. I'm pretty
sure I'd have got up or down there when I was 17 on my SL125, possibly
    even the XT500.

Who are all the people 'helping' anyway? Just a bunch of random
    tourists or what?

It reminds me of the washed out road[1] in Colombia, people were walking
the 3km between buses and we paid 2 people to help get the 2 Pegs across
    the mud, rock, bridgeless gap.

[1] remains were in the valley below.

There's another clip, where the "paved" road has suddenly dropped down
about 15ft - no way anyone could ride up or down the cliff that's left
there. They are pullng the bikes up with a rope.

    I doubt they are tourists.

    Well they do have rucksacks.
Locals seem to be enjoying the spectacle seated at the top.
    Plenty of helpers anyway.

Signed up for the trip of a lifetime, is what it looks like.

I'm wondering how they get the support vehicle(s) through.

Finding out how is all part of the adventure. Luckily it appears the
locals are not shy about pitching in when needed.
