As a bonus a friend who was working in India managed to purchase there an UK produced 1961 (I think) Enfield in a sorry state and get it completely refurbed at local rates and of course new parts before shipping it back to the UK and regaining an original registration.

Brands from India: Last I saw here were RE Bullets around 2000. I cannot think anything now. Except maybe KTM(?)s build in india.

Indian the US brand. Was relevant on the same level as HD, but AFAIK never sold here. Also since about six months, they have been completely irrelevant.

KTM is now majority owned by Bajaj from India. I believe they have an
option to have 100% in certain circumstances. They make the smaller 300cc
and lower capacity KTM bikes. The problematic engines in the 800/900 are
made in China by CF Moto

Presumably you have BMW G310 bikes in DK. Made in India by TVS (owners of Norton)

I think we have more Indian dealers (19) in the UK than Harely (15) now.
Niche but well regarded.

Royal Enfield make a big range of bikes, singles and twins. The
Himalayans are proving very popular on the Ixion list.

Triumph now have the Speed 400 - a friend of mine has one and loves it.
