I do still wonder what goes on in the rational head of someone
who when filtering sees a bike come up behind them and doesn't
get out of the way, checks their mirrors, doesn't get out of
the way, checks their mirrors, doesn't get out of the way.
It was only two miles or so I guess.

It's very sticky today, but also very sticky.

I've encountered many like that over the years. I usually ended up
resorting to dropping down to the next "channel" and popping back out in
    front of them.

As a rule, I'd let people past. Sometimes thought they would lose their
bottle with no longer having someone to run interference and end up
    slowing me down.

It's very sticky today, but also very sticky.

Just the sort of day I avoid riding in now.
    Fuck I've got old.

Sadly it's just a two lane road, getting enough yeet to get far enough
past to re-merge ahead down the gravel in the gutter sounds like getting killed.

Yeh, I used to let the nutters past in London, and the losers would 98%
of the time let me past, the etiquette seems obvious.

I wish I hadn't got too fat for my leathers, certainly :P

Ah, granted. I (wrongly) assumed motorway.

I've gone the other way, my bike gear hangs off me now.

'Cos they were there first? Obvs!

Or maybe they thought you might be about to nick their phones etc?
    :-)
