Lots of people here had some involvement in IT, but, like me, may not have noticed that Dame Steve Shirley died last weekend:

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/obituaries/2025/08/11/dame-steve-shirley-computer-entrepreneur-died-obituary/

She donated millions to charity and succeeded in her aim of dropping out of
the Sunday Times Rich List (by giving her wealth away).

F International was a big name when I was starting out in IT
professionally, and Steve Shirley was a remarkable woman. I heard her
being interviewed on the radio a year or two back. Sad that sherCOs gone.

Yes, I remember when F International was very prominent, winning many big contracts. I always assumed the F stood for Female, not Freelance.

I hadnrCOt realised she was a Kindertransport refugee.
