Liz John who is penning this week's episodes clearly has not had the
slightest idea what has been going on in recent weeks.

Stella was at a Board meeting of BL where Justin announced that 500
acres is to be rewilded - plan yet to be signed off but it is likely
that the Directors will agree something.

Stella knows that as a result the Home Farm arable contract will change.

The current contract expires in a few weeks after the wheat harvest.

She is expecting Justin to sign the new contract and yet she knows as a director that with the amount of arable which may need farming is
potentially going to change no director would sign anything for the future.

Also it is NOT down to Justin to sign anything. Martyn is the Chair and Managing Director in effect as he took power away from the others after problems at Berrow.

Why is the Editor not sorting this out?

Some years ago Alan (having been to somewhere with Usha) came up with a
plan to remove the pews from the church and throw it open to community
groups which as far as I recall saw some opposition but eventually went
    ahead.

Why last night was Alan bemoaning the absence of people in the church
and recalling when the pews were full?

Is it that the archivist has forgotten that the pews have gone and that
the community groups now use the church regularly?

Maybe you'd enjoy the "new" Dick Francis with a cast of Archers on BBC
    Radio 4x.

You could pretend that it's like Lynda's Christmas production and, as
it's a show within a show, you'll get the familiar voices without it
having to make sense in an Ambridgian[1] sort of way.

Like Brian I have read a few Dick Francis down the years but on the
whole I am not sure I need to listen to an adaptation. They tend not to
    be my cup of tea.

Probably shorthand for rCychurchrCO so the non -goer doesnrCOt know churches often have had pews removed. (Shock horror!). It did cross my mind that
moving chairs is what most churches probably do to a small or large extent
so the area can be used for different purposes every week anyway. The one
I go to never leaves chairs in situ - itrCOs hired out to the community for
the same uses as yer CofE church hall would be or for our on weekly events.

And another thing the script writers havenrCOt done rCa.. use either the church or village hall for one of the rCyFood sharerCO schemes. Ambridge is ripe for it. The one at our church is a turn up, no referral needed and we only do
a head count plus nominal charge style. ItrCOs known that some are only
doing a rCywaste not, want notrCO thing as well as the many low paid etc in the area. If theyrCOre not doing it now, my thinking is itrCOll soon be realised that Soosan has given them a good reason to try it out for size!
