    I wouldn't worry too much about it, Steve. Umrats don't have much of a reputation for generating spam and, sadly, or happily, depending on
    your point of view nobody seems to think it is worthwhile to spam
    usenet any more.

    I gave up munging my email address on usenet over ten years ago and
    think I can count the amount of spam having my address in clear has
    generated on the fingers of one -erme- finger.

    Same here - I've been using my real email addy on usenet for years, and
    don't think I've had more than two or three a year, if that.
