Hi All
-a-a-a-awe have some 'outdoor play equipment' for the grandchildren that needs weighting down. I had some white woven polypropylene rubble sacks
that I filled with ballast for this.
This worked well for a few months but the sacks have deteriorated (in
the sunlight, I presume). Can the team suggest an alternative which
would last for longer?
Thanks, J^n

You don't want something fairly permanent, like concrete? You might be
able to cast some lumps of concrete that fit over the play equipment, so they can be lifted up and moved.

No - I don't think it will have a life much beyond ... say a year's time

Interesting, thanks. I had assumed that UV degradation came with the
'woven polypropylene' construction.

Black plastics generally have UV resistance (or maybe UV resistant
plastics are generally black?)
