I'll run EtreCheck and post the result for review shortly.

I clicked on the link provided by Allan Jones and this is what I saw:-

    https://postimg.cc/xXrJKfCt

I'll find a new way to access EtreCheck!

I went here and downloaded the software:-

    https://www.etrecheck.com/en/index.html

A zip file (13.5 MB) was downloaded and automatically opened to show an Application of 25.4 MB.

However - no new Application is listed in my Applications folder!
(Nor in my list of Installations)

Now I'm going to run it anyway!

Here is a full copy of my EtreCheck report:-

    https://pastebin.com/pnZjDzpq

It appears, to me, as if there is no longer an SSD in operation in my so-called Fusion Drive.

    Do you agree? Comments welcome.

I thought this was settled -- even with Gremlin's help if I recall. Yes, the SSD part of your Fusion drive is not functional.

My, my memory (personal!) must be really shot. I don't recall Gremlin
    being involved at all!
I have had long discussions about the situation with ChatGPT and long
    before the failure
I arranged for my iMac to boot and operate from a 1TB external SSD. That doesn't show up in the EtreCheck report because I deliberately removed
it from its Thunderbolt connection before scanning.

I could be wrong... but I think you posted it, I looked briefly on the move
and did not have much to add, and he came in and mocked me and noted the SSD error. Maybe that was another topic.

    Fair enough.
