The ID perps are spinning a tale about the name change from Evolution
News to Science and Culture. The original name of the ID scam unit of
the Discovery Institute was the Center for the Renewal of Science and
Culture that was just a euphemism for Biblical creationism. Their
mission statment had them wanting to return the US to a theocracy that
    likely had never existed.

They started the Evolution News stupidity after the bait and switch had
been going down for around 2 years, and they needed some way to keep supporting creationism without calling it creationism nor ID. So they
lied in the title and instead of creationism news it became the misnomer Evolution News. Now they are trying to return to their original
euphemism for creationist obfuscation and denial "Science and Culture".
We know that they are only interested in creation science, and Biblical religious culture. They even added religious topics to Evolution News
    after their loss in Dover.

Just a continuation of the ID scam. The bait and switch will still go
down on the next group of creationist rubes that fall for their teach ID
    scam.

They are still selling the teach ID scam to the creationist rubes. https://www.discovery.org/f/1453/

    QUOTE:
Has ID Been Banned from Public Schools?

No. Science teachers have the right to teach science.
Since ID is a legitimate scientific theory, it should be
constitutional to discuss in science classrooms and it
should not be banned from schools. If a science teacher
wants to voluntarily discuss ID, she should have the
    academic freedom to do so.
    END QUOTE:

Part of their old education policy that is still quoted verbatim in this
    scam propaganda:
    QUOTE:
Although Discovery Institute does not advocate requiring
the teaching of intelligent design in public schools, it
does believe there is nothing unconstitutional about
voluntarily discussing the scientific theory of design in
the classroom. In addition, the Institute opposes efforts
to persecute individual teachers who may wish to discuss
the scientific debate over design in an objective and
    pedagogically appropriate manner.
    END QUOTE:

The ID perps also claim that since the Kitzmiller decision was not
appealed that it is still legal to teach ID in the public schools
outside of the middle federal court district of PA. Even though
teaching the ID scam was found to be unconstitutional in that court case.
