The YEC ICR notes that the ID perps are using their creationist
arguments, but like the OEC Reason to Believe Biblical creationists they
do not like the fact that the the ID perps have taken the Bible out of
    the discussion.

When the ICR's scientific creationists lost in Federal court in 1981 the
Judge noted that there were no acceptable scientific creationism
teaching materials available. What the scientific creationists had
produced was full of Bible verses and Biblical mythology. The judge
concluded that as well as failing the Lemon test that there wasn't a
legal means available to implement the law and teach scientific
creationism in the Public schools. The ruling was so devastating that Arkansas did not appeal.

The book Of Pandas and People was announced as a text that could be used
in the public schools to teach scientific creationism. It was supposed
to be a creationist textbook that did not have the Bible verses and
    Biblical mythology in it.

The Supreme court ruled against scientific creationism in 1987 before Of Pandas and People was published. After that judgement Of Pandas and
people was transformed into an intelligent design textbook without the
Bible verses and Biblical mythology. "Cdesign proponentsists" was one
of the results of changing creationists to design proponents. The rest
of the creationist text was left pretty much unchanged.

ID first came to TO as something that could be taught in the public
schools in the 1990's and Of Pandas and People was claimed to be
something that could be used to teach the ID scam in the public schools.
My copy was actually given to me by a YEC creationists when I replied
to his newspaper letter to the editor on teaching scientific creationism
in the public schools in Michigan in 1994 (before the Discovery
Institute had started their ID scam unit).

The Dover creationists purchased Of Pandas and People to teach ID in
    their public schools.

So the ICR is pretty spot on about ID's association with the creationist denial junk that the scientific creationists first produced.
