This seems to be an obvious projection piece from the ID perps. They
claim that scientists lie for recognition. This is true in a lot of
cases, but it takes a really stupid and incompetent scientists to think
that they can get away with it. The type that they have at the
Discovery Institute that make their living by lying about the science.
It doesn't take a genius to understand that you can't lie about
something in science and expect to get away with it unless the lie is so inconsequential that no one checks it out. The type that tell these inconsequential lies are like the ID perps and probably only in it to
make a living by supporting a stupid bait and switch scam like ID has
been for over 2 decades.
The "scientists" that cheat and lie like the ID perps are usually in it
for the money. Guys like Sternberg, Dembski, Meyer, and Luskin likely
can't get an honest job any longer with their ID "science" record. The
guys that resort to paper mills and scamming the system to publish
rubbish know that they aren't advancing their science careers. They are
only in it to keep their jobs and maybe get a raise.
Nelson likely never had a real job after graduate school. He is also
the ID perp that admitted that the ID science had never existed before
Dover after he and his fellow ID perps had started running the bait and
switch on their hapless creationist support base. Nelson likely
understood from the beginning that he was only in the ID scam to use ID
as bait in order to support the ID perp's Wedge goals. Nelson likely
never wanted the ID perps to accomplish any valid science of any kind
relative to the creation. It all would have just been more science to
deny for a YEC like Nelson. Nelson was happy to lie about the science
in order to support his religious beliefs. He never expected to
accomplish any valid science.
The ID perps are likely using this article to make them feel better
about how dishonest the ID scam has always been. From the very
beginning of the name change of creationism to intelligent design in Of
Pandas and People the scam artists have known what the ID scam has
always been. Thaxton was editor of that ID scam text. Kenyon was one
of the main authors. Meyer wrote the teachers notes for the book, and
Behe admitted to writing some of the book, but was not credited. All of
them were among the original fellow of the ID scam unit at the Discovery Institute. Most of the book was written before the Supreme court ruled
that no creation science existed that was worth calling science, so they
all knew that what was in that book was never going to pass as science
even with the name change. The name change was only made to keep the
science denial alive.
