Any pointers to some general rules of thumb -- especially
for enclosed spaces (I realize most people don't even think
about such things in their designs -- "if the ventilation
is inadequate, the system doesn't work; plan accordingly

Well, I sent photos and dimensions of the space to my HVAC guy,
told him what sort of power I was dumping in that space...
and he shot back an answer that essentially mimics the one
I got by "doing the math"!

But, no explanation as to how/why he came up with that number!

We'll have him over for dinner and see how he justifies his
assertion. And, ask him how best to route the airflow for
least impedance, noise, etc. Also, the *real* consequences
if we opt to vent to "unconditioned" space (I suspect it will
be like leaving a window open :< Probably not a good idea!)
