Forget NovaBBS. Unless a new administrator takes over its
running (since the passing of 'retroguy') it'll just get
progressively worse as bugs don't get fixed, etc.

You have a reasonably good newsreader, there are probably better
ones out there, but XanaNews does what it says on the tin. So
it's up to you to configure it to suit your needs... it is more
    powerful than a web interface.

You could try "Newsgrouper" if you really insist on accessing
    Usenet via a web interface.

Novabbs is working, but very intermittently. It's up and down, it's okay
for short sessions but perhaps not reliable enough for serious usenet
    access.

I tried it and got "Blocked due to UK Online Safety Act". According to Wikipedia there's Easynews, but that seems to cost money, Narkive, which Wikipedia say is read only; does that mean I can't write anything using
that?; and Nemo, which apparently is in French. Does anyone know
anything about Nemo? That sounds like my best bet; although I don't
    speak French.

NovaBBS is working intermittently today, so I still haven't decided
whether to have the vote or not.

Let MH organise the vote, we only need one list. You brush up
on your newsreader skills... as you seem obsessed with using a
web interface to access Usenet when what you have at your
fingertips can do exactly the same thing... and more.

    Practice makes perfect.

The MH organized vote will produce a different list though. He's made it
clear that he's going to allow strong disagreement when he organizes a
vote, so it won't be the rss-not-strongly-disagreed-about top 9.

The Mark organized vote in this thread is to make the 1 list we have
    already got more accurate.

Do people want a vote to make the list we've not-strongly-disagreed on
in this list more accurate? It possibly would make sense to have 1 list determined by discussion only and then MH start his own thread and
organize a list by vote only, rather than 1 of the lists being a
    combination of discussion and vote.

    What do you guys think?
