• Got her back

Got the RV back from the shop today. All the light problems now fixed, squeaky door fixed, lights all shut off when doors close, and I had them recaulk the trim piece right behind the door that is kind of a shitty
design and moves a bit. I advised them to leave it loose and fill it
in. Looks like they did that and filled the gap. Should be OK.

Told the wife I want to do another short trip before the end of the year
and suggested going up to either Wisc on Lake Superior or into Michigan
and the UP and do some leave viewing once they really turn. She did not
seem interested. Might be going by myself, I guess. She just don't
    like it like I do.

Got me thinking that I'm going to have to look into pulling my F-150 as
a TOAD. It's probably about 5750 lbs, so it would be quite a bit over.
Maybe I gotta look for an old jeep or something. That could be fun.

I bought it for her to drive as her daily vehicle. She always wanted
one. I told her it was going to be a TOAD. However, I'm not going out
of town with HER vehicle whether I paid for it or not. I am not willing
to start that war. Plus, I love the old gal. :-)

We are thinking to do a few days in a nearby Nebraska state park
sometime mid October. Should be cool enough to be pleasant by
then, and we can see some new sights without going far.

Nice. I am pretty jealous of you getting the hell west of the Mississippi.

I looked around a little bit. The idea does have merit, so I looked
around a little today. I saw one I could see pulling along. The one
thing I really think is important is being able to go places where the
wife wouldn't want to take her new Bronco. I understand she doesn't
want to get it all scratched up going down narrow roads in the woods. I wouldn't either. But I'm looking for something not new, that I don't
care if it gets a scratch on it. Saw a nice little 2 door Jeep
something or another today that really interested me. It would be quite
a bit less weight than the Bronco too. Maybe over the winter I'll get something to work on.

Yeah, and even west of the Missouri. :)

It feels really good to be back in Nebraska. It's always been
home, and is special to me. I thought about getting a special
license plate that has a long time motto "The Good Life", but
decided to look at the main plate design a little closer. Turns
out it's based on a beautiful mosaic in the floor of the unique
    capitol building...

    https://nebraskacapitolart.com/art/genius-of-creative-energy/

So I resolved the dilemma by getting a "The Good Life" sticker for
the back end of my car. :)

Sounds great! Winter projects are always fun to plan and carry
out. I have a big new garage with a new big screen, so I need
some winter projects to take adavantage of the amenities.
