Turkey Divine. It's my wife's favourite treatment for leftover turkey
and I can't complain because it is so darned tasty.

Oops I guess it is Divan, but it is divine.-a If one where to write out
the entire recipe it would be quite involved, but she makes it with
leftover turkey or chicken. She makes a white sauce and adds some grated Parmesan and blanches some-a broccoli. The assembly involves white sauce
in the bottom of the pan, a layer of broccoli, a layer of sliced fowl, repeat, sprinkle with buttered breadcrumbs and more Parmesan and bake
until browned.
Only make as much as you figure can eat and don't count on leftovers.
The broccoli verges on overcooked the first time and reheating leftovers with broccoli is pushing it IMO.

I went to a ladies luncheon hosted by my financial adviser's assistant.rCerCeOnly six of us could make it and it was held at
a restaurant called 'Puffy Muffin.'rCerCeI had a Reuben sandwich

nice scoop of inhouse made potato casserole.rCerCeIt was excellent
and iced water rounded out my meal.rCerCeBruce, three of the ladies
had sweetened iced tea.

If I should have a hunger pang later, there's some yummy
pimento cheese spread in the refrigerator.rCerCePotato chips
too, thus no danger of me going hungry if I want something
quick with little effort.

We avoid that by carefully nuking the broccoli and serving the
casserole over it.
my husband's "bitter" receptors are turned up to 11.

Good idea. I love the turkey and sauce part. The broccoli can be temperamental. It can be really good. It was last night. However, there
is some leftover that I will be expected to eat for lunch and it is
going to be hard to do that without pushing the broccoli over the line.
It amazes me how many people don't use the lower power settings on the microwave when reheating things.

We buy them simply because they are MUCH cheaper than the fancy inverter devices.

I thought you understood CHEAP. At least our Master Bruce thinks so,
and he says so every time you crow about finding cheap shit at your >supermarket.

I just don't think about microwaves that much. I use it every
morning to cook my oatmeal, and very sparingly otherwise.

Them(?)
I have to admit. I followed some of Bryan's
advice and when my previous Walmart oven
started 'caramalizing' the painted interior,
I bought an expensive one with an inverter.
Also, twice both volume and microwave power.

If you're microwaving it to reheat it, don't use the HIGH setting. Cook
it longer at a lower setting so the broccoli doesn't cook to death but everything is heated through.

Them(?)
Non inverter type microwave ovens (in ANY quantity).
I have one (1) microwave oven, and no, it does not have a quantum dis- entangled mode.

Non-inverter, I'm confident.
Don't tell Bryan that Usenet is obsolete tech. It'll be our
little secret.

Which brand and model did you buy? Now that yourCOve used it a while, was it worth the extra cost? Would you buy an inverter microwave again, in spite
of the extra cost?
We need a new microwave and would appreciate a real world review.
