I don't buy frozen pizza any more. They never give instructions what
side goes up in the oven. Get it wrong, what a mess!

I'll give you my phone number and you can call me, and I'll walk you

As soon as I press send on this post I'm heading to the kitchen
and it's going to be grilled cubed chicken and fried rice here.
I had no breakfast or lunch today and I'm /starving./

We went to an event at my granddaughter's school. The kids put on a haunted house and there were a lot of venders selling food. People are literally hungry in this town for street food. The town traffic was jammed with people trying to get to the school. I gave my daughter 40 bucks and told her to get me some food.
She got me some grilled ahi - a very good choice. She also got a drink of coconut
water and lemons - with a topping of cotton candy.

The locals know the value of brown gravy. We don't like white gravy much. Real Hawaiian food uses no gravy at all. Leave da Hawaiians alone! You got problems with sauce, go complain to the French or the Italians.

Breakfast this morning was classic Hawaiian - Spam, eggs, and rice. I like my Spam crispy.

in New York State, that's statutory rape, age of consent is 17

rehearsal dinner for my daughters wedding. pulled pork, roast

Blue Moon seems like the kind of beer that a 17 YO boy would use to
loosen up his 15 YO girlfriend. ;-)

in New York State, that's statutory rape, age of consent is 17
    years old.

It is in Missouri as well, but there's an exception if the older person
in not much older. When I got together with my first GF, she had just
turned 15. I was 16, soon to turn 17, so less than 2 years older. The
second? Well, there's a thing called statute of limitations. She moved
in with me when she was 16, with the full knowledge and OK of her
parents, and we were together until she was 20. We'd known one other for years. The second day we were together, there was a blizzard. We were
snowed in together for about 3-1/2 years. In retrospect, I think that we stayed together that long for one reason. I was completely smitten with
her physically. That made it hard to break up with her, but also made
it hard for her to break up with me. None of the rest of our mutual
friends found her particularly attractive, whereas I adored her. She
treated me pretty badly at times, and our male friends thought I was
henpecked and completely pussy-whipped, which I was, but it was worth
it. One of my buddies told me I was pussy-whipped, and I replied that if
I was going to be whipped by anything, "please let it be pussy." https://www.weather.gov/lsx/01_31_82>
some of the girls i hung around with back then didn't need alcohol
to "loosen them up". all it took was a few beers and their legs
opened up freely like tulips in the morning sun. :)

I never got to be very promiscuous because I was too serial monogamous.
When you have a GF who is as sexy as all three of mine, you tend not to
be looking elsewhere. In between GFs, I got some variety, but I was
pretty miserable almost every day of not having a steady GF.

    I married GF#3, and we've been together more than 40 years. :-)
She doesn't require any beer at all. In fact, she doesn't drink alcohol because it gives her migraines.

Parents, siblings, and siblings' spouses. We walked a few blocks to the church, got married, went back to my parents' house, had cake and a

That was 51 years ago, and we are still very much in love with each other.

There aren't a lot of funerals happening these days. People seem to be
opting for cremation and having a celebration of life, sometimes just a gathering at a bar.

his too. they were a couple in their teens. i loved the guy back then,
he's an even better man now.

Good for them. Long road but if they are truly meant to be together, it worked.

they're going to do great. my daughters last husband and his
family really screwed her up. mental abuse. they've been living
together for a couple years now and he has put up with and
helped her get through some pretty gnarly shit. she still
glitches out occasionally but is mostly recovered. dude has the
    patience of a saint.

my son on the other hand, i give up. he's moved from one piece
of trash to another. his ex wife is in prison serving a 25 year
sentence for sexually abusing her own kids. i hated that woman
from within the first hour after meeting her the first time. the
one decent woman he had he threw away to go back to a former
piece of trash. he's been paying that piece of trash child support
for 16 years now, and she has two other baby daddies, is living
with one of them. my son is pissed off at me for refusing to let
her back into my life. sayonara, son, see you when she destroys
your life again. hope you have money saved for the lawyer

Weddings? You should look at the funeral business. They are real rip-off
merchants preying on the emotionally vulnerable.

There aren't a lot of funerals happening these days. People seem to be opting for cremation and having a celebration of life, sometimes just a gathering at a bar.

Perfect. We did similar for my wife but oped for my son's home rather
than a bar. I expect nothing more when I go.

That was certainly the case in the case of a good friend of my son's.
Due to family problems he ended up living with us for half his last year
of high school. He married his high school sweetheart, a really nice
girl whose father was a very successful tree farmer. Their reception was
at a winery and it was an expensive affair. The marriage lasted about a
year and a half and he took up with a really horrible woman.

He quickly released his mistake but then it took him a long time to get
rid of her. She managed to trap him with a pregnancy and it took years
for him to break free of that one. He has since remarried a really nice
woman and things seem to be going well.

light meal, opened gifts, thanked everyone, and drove off for a few days

you know some like to 'put on the dog.' That's fine, just don't ask
me to chip in. I sometimes read some articles of how greedy the
bride /and/ groom can be with their requests and demands.

Betsy and I had two wedding days. There was April 2nd, when we signed
our marriage license in our co-mingled blood, but we were a few minutes
to the ceremony thing, and had to wait until the next week to make it
legal. That evening, we went to a nightclub to see Johnny Thunders, and
my buddy Freddy had gotten the word around that we had gotten married
earlier in the day. The place was packed with what seemed like almost
every Rock 'n Roller in StL, and what seemed like a hundred people came
    over to congratulate us.

Earlier in the evening, before word got around, we were out on the
riverfront behind the club, most of us drinking beer. Betsy had a
migraine, so she took a couple of Fiorinals, that came right back up. I picked them up and washed the gravel off them with beer and tried to
hand them back, but she wanted no part of them. I asked if she was
sure, and she said she was. So I popped them in my mouth and chased
them down with beer, and when I looked up, dozens of people were staring
at me with looks of disbelief. Apparently, when she'd thrown them up,
that attracted attention, and folks saw the rest of the event. Shit,
like I was going to waste a couple of butalbitals. Barbiturates and beer
is the best high on the planet.

For a brief time, like 6-7 years earlier, I'd been sort of a big fish in
a small pond. I was the singer in the first punk band in StL, and had a reputation for being psycho. It wasn't true; it was just a persona. I
thought everyone had forgotten who I was because I'd dropped out of the
scene for years. People I didn't know from Adam were coming uo to me
and saying things like, so she's the one who finally got you.

So, April 2nd was the day we got married *in the eyes of Rock 'n Roll*.
A week later we got married in the eyes of government. The judge started
to say that we were supposed to wait until the ceremony to sign... It
was pretty obvious that we had signed it in blood, and she just let it
slide. It's been over 39 years. A month or so after, we had a very small reception at Betsy's parents' house. Just sandwiches, and no alcohol. It probably cost less than $50. I bet that the average couple who spent 50
times that much didn't stay married that long.

It's a wonderful picture of life way, way, back. It reminds me of Elvis and Priscilla. The bride is beautiful, the groom - so-so. Congrats on 55 years. At our age, 55 years of marriage is a daunting task. I can't say if we can cling to life for 7 more years.

We got married in Minden, NV. The wedding costs were extensive - $35 for the Justice of the Peace, and 3 buffet dinners at a casino in Reno. Looking back, we
should have put the money on a down payment on a home. Here's a picture of a gal
    named Ophelia.

and comes looking for help the answer is finally going to be he
did it to himself so he has to fix it himself. the nonsense has
been repeating itself for around 17 years.

There aren't a lot of funerals happening these days. People seem to be
opting for cremation and having a celebration of life, sometimes just a
    gathering at a bar.

lost a colleague a couple months back. was a celebration of life
in his honor. was the first one of those i had been too. was
    quite the contrast from funerals.

if it was legal, when i die i'd like my rotting corpse dragged
into the woods for the wildlife to feast on. my family knows
that but it's unlikely to happen. so cremation it will be and a
celebration of life with food and drink on me.

In my State, one can choose mulching. Think of the ENVIRONMENT!
I'll pass, then pass on that. pass squared!

mulching is the point. after spending an entire lifetime dodging
people and life itself trying to shit on me, it'll be my revenge to
be the shit after being eaten. maybe turkey vultures feast on my
carrion and shit me out on peoples heads while flying over.

They do that near here on the Gulf of Mexico. They have some sort of service on the boat and take the container of ashes out to a reef. Same marina where my granddaughter takes charter fishing trips.

I looked it up. She's at _Neptune Memorial Reef_ in the Miami

Those places are nice, but I'd rather use the money towards a house.

It is amazing how much some people spend on wedding receptions and
luxury honeymoons when they could be putting the money towards a house, especially these days when so many people have all but given up hope of buying a home.

Houses? I've got a couple of those for sale. How many do you need? ;)

Officer Dave wouldn't buy any of the houses you are selling. He is a

We got married on December 29th on a Friday. It was tough to find someone willing to hitch us up. Somehow we found a Justice of the Peace to do the deed. I got freaked out by a large snow covered field. Agoraphobia is what it's called.
The drive back to California late at night was harrowing. My fuel filter was clogged and I couldn't drive above 40 MPH. It was quite a memorable trip.
