    My understanding is that peacocks are quite an annoying burd. I'll hear them at
    my dad's house occasionally. Those peacocks make an alarming screeching noise.
    What the hell was that is my usual response to hearing those beasts.

    For one of my car meets, we camped on someone's lot in rural Tennessee a
    few years back. He had several huge pet peacocks. Those animals make horribly noisy screeches, sometimes all day/night long. I don't care if
    I ever see another.
