It's a gloomy rainy day here. Supposed to be that way all weekend.

I have a pot of Hurst's brand Hambeens 15 bean soup cooking in the crock
pot with a pound of diced ham. It won't be ready for a few hours but I
baked a skillet of cornbread to go with it.

Anything cooking at your house tonight?

YES, I'm having EXACTLY the same thing tonight your Majesty!
I guess great minds think alike, right, your Highness?

But my meal is just leftovers, and the cornbread wasn't my best to start
with, so your Majesty's royal vittles are surely much finer.
Probably would be Popeye grade if yoose had left out the ham.

I just finished up some leftovers and may or may not have
something later as my leftovers weren't that satisfying.

Bryan will be proud of me. Too lazy, I did not cook two nights now.

Yesterday, my DIL brought over some skewers with chicken and pineapple
chunks, fried rice, cauliflower. It was OK, the pineapple was the best
    part.

Tonight,I had the much improved second half. A week ago I went to
Arby's and in the bag they put a packed each of Arbysauce and Horsey
sauce. I put the horseysauce on the cauliflower, the other on the
chicken and the bit left mixed into the rice. Sure made a difference
and had a better meal tonight.

    Cooking? No.

Lunch was a sandwich: thinly sliced onion, lettuce, salami, ham,
hot pepper relish, dressed with EVOO, red-wine vinegar, oregano,
    and pepper.

Dinner was a salad: lettuce, radish, tomato, nearly-hard-boiled eggs,
capers, kalamata olives; dressed with white-wine vinegar, caper juice,
Dijon mustard, and EVOO. Salt and pepper, of course.

Wow. Indirect sour grapes for a 3rd party.

Any Polish stores near you? If you can find one, bet some real kielbasa
    and enjoy real Polish food.

When I lived in Philadelphia there were a couple of large Polish
neighborhoods and good foods. In CT I was able to find one place that
was equal to it. Oh, rye bread too.

Big cities always had strong ethnic sections, but they are being diluted.
