I just entered my eightieth year*, and in around three weeks, you'll
be an octogenarian! Good luck to both of us! :-)
* eightieth year is the year between 79 and 80, by my calculation

No such thing as simple where general anesthesia is involved. Throw in
stent to major source of blood to the brain and IrCOd make sure all the bills were paid and relatives were warned. IMO, scary stuff.

Not to worry Ed. They are pretty good days. Besides, you don't have the Bryan Simpleton curse on your head. He has directed all that against me

They often (usually?) put in a stent while
conscious. The incision is just a 1/4" cut
on the wrist, but for some reason they
always want to shave your pubes first.
Too bad JK is no longer with us. He could
likely confirm the reasoning behind this.

It's normally done with only local anaesthesia at site
of the very small incision. Short procedure. No GA
involved.

My guess is that they do that just in case. If something
goes wrong during the stent placement and they have to
go into the heart for some reason, they don't want to
have to wait for shaving the patient.
Or they just think it's fun.

My angio was done through my arm. I remember that there was talk about shaving my groin but I can't remember exactly what happened there. They

I've just seen my cardiologist and he is having me tested for
carotid blockages - just in case.
This is getting ominous. I just got a letter from my cardiologist today moving my appointment a couple weeks ahead.

I just entered my eightieth year*, and in around three weeks, you'll
be an octogenarian! Good luck to both of us! :-)
* eightieth year is the year between 79 and 80, by my calculation
In certain parts of Asia, you're considered to be a one year old when you're born. That's because they start counting at conception. My mother-in-law lied about her age when she came in from Korea. Her birthdate was just some made up
number that my wife thought was real. By her way of counting, she'd be age -14
at birth.
Some people think live begins when they guy unsnaps
the girl's bra.
