    Perhaps I'm wrong but I thought you said that you were building Campy 10 speeds with a 12-34 cogset.. If so, where were you getting that cogset?

    Shimano, SRAM, SunRace to fit HG type cassette body.

    We tried some American Classic cassettes for HG body with
    perfect Campagnolo sprocket spacing, but the actual
    performance difference was negligible and the cost was
    prohibitive.

    No, they are different. But very close. In practice, mixed
    systems work better than not having a sufficiently low gear!

    Where cassette spacing is not perfect, set the gear wire
    index in a middle gear. Any variance will be slight at both
    ends.
