Well, I really got lousy sleep last night. I had indigestion and had to get up several times. So I wasn't feeling too good this morning. I got a late start on my ride but it was chilly and overcast so the roads out to the trails were reasonably clear and the trails had the usual amont of people that were totally ignorant of what was going on around them. So I was continually slowing down and speeding up again.
Smart phones have to be one of the worst inventions of mankind. They would be a good invention if people used them for purposes other than talking while driving or listening to music totally devoid of conciousness of the world around them while they are walking down the trails.
This month so far I have 326 miles and it doesn't really appear that I am boing to be able to improve on my weekly mileage. Getting old isn't all that hot. Of course it does beat the alternative.
My average speed is still some 1.5 mph higher than expected though yesterday it was 2 mph faster. My binocular vision is pretty scewed up and on the trail in one place you have to walk the bike thougfh loose gravel and for some reason that makes me lose my sense of balance and while I have to be careful it makes me nausious. Butg Getting back on the bike I'm back to normal. I'll be glad when they finish that repair.
The Colnago needs the newly cleaned and waxed chain installed and bar tape installed and the control cables trimed and ends installed. So Tuesday I will probably be able to use it on the Cull Canyon ride. Though I will have to use some different pedals than I plan since they son't come in until Wednesday.
