I couldn't get today's ride to register until I fiddled around with it for about an hour. The Garmin showed the ride in the history but not in the Status. Finally it registered. As of today I have 500 miles for the month and three more rides yet to go.
I was going to go over Fairmont Hill again but I only got about half way there and went back and went over the easy way. At 200 lbs I'm 20 lbs over my riding weight and it really shows.
I've been trying to drop the weight but it is certainly easier said then done. I

I figured out how to engage the autopause when stopped, so the 1030 should register the average speed correctly again. I with I knew why today's ride showed up in the history but not in the status until I fiddked around with it opening the history and then resetting the Garmin Explorer softwar which then showed todays ride.

Where is this "Fairmont Hill"? Google maps hasn't hear of it. There's
a Fairmont hill in Yorba Linda. There's a Fairmont Hotel in San
Francisco. There are also several Fairmont Streets and Roads in
California. There's a Claremont Resort and Club near North Oakland.

I thought you were tall? 200 lb sounds about right, my weight has crept up
not helped by multiple birthday meals and so on! IrCOm comfortable at about 14stone 4lb (200lb) though itrCOs about 14st 12lb at moment but likely come back down.

Certainly at those weight wobbles though I donrCOt notice any difference what matters is if I was trying or simply smelling the roses as you were!

I was watching the TTT in the Vuelta today and saw the Lidl-Trek team,
where one rider dwarfed all the others. I looked him up, it was Daan Hoole

    https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider/daan-hoole

    He's Dutch, weighs 81 Kg (~ 178 lb) and is 1.98 m (~ 6'6") tall

A literal giant amoung bike racers. He won the ITT at the Tour of
Valencia and the Giro this year, as well as the Dutch ITT national championship.

IrCOd argue that road pros are below what is healthy weights, for good
sporting performance but still not something that should be maintained,
much like the body mass of a Rugby player, cycling seems to be often used
post Rugby careers as a way to keep fitness and build down.

True, A fit 6'6" probasketball player will weigh 225 - 250 lbs (fwiw,
that would be called a "small forward".)

but 178 for a procyclist is massive, et alone being 6'6"

Depending on the position, some players (Rugby) would have heavier builds
some lighter ie folks who need to be more fleet of foot and so on.

Definitely changed in my lifetime as it went from Amateur to professional
and the weights rose according and the corresponding increase in injures.

I think one of the GCN lot is that height? Was apparently the tallest in

I felt my best at 180 lbs. Each winter I would put on weight and then come spring and the long rides I would slowly lose weight until I didn't have any trouble riding with the group and that was 180 lbs. That is also the weight recommended for 6'4" tall and slight build.
