I have 6800 shimano shifters. The right hood cover is
starting to shift around. The left is fine as I rarely shift
off the big ring but always shifting the rear cogs.
Would you simply get another pair or is there some possible
fix. They are not terribly pulled but you can tell this
cover gets pulled up more as I have to run new cables more
often than the left shifter. I though about double stick
tape. I am not being cheap but I don't need anything right
now so hate to order just a set of covers.

First off, see if the various little rubber protrusions
inside the rubber cover are engaging the appropriate ports
in the lever. Tape occluding those openings can cause cover
drift.
Then reach under and clean the cover and the lever with
alcohol or brake cleaner on a cloth. When they are clean and
dry, they stay in place better, just like flat bar grips.
If no help then yes new covers.
