I've watched the new/premiering LMN/Lifetime flicks since I last posted,
but won't have time to review them here.
Otherwise, all I've gotten through was soaps:
DOOL - Plot twist!! - EVOL (Nu)Sophia's baby isn't Tate's. I strongly suspect they are going to go the incest route with this storyline (I'm betting Sophia's never seen dad got her pregnant), despite the fact that they've done nothing to establish this... Meanwhile, I guess Holly won't
be leaving town afterall, and will surely stick around for REVENGE!
against EVOL! (Nu)Sophia. And pretty much everyone has figured out
Sophia's game now. (Maybe she's the one who left town?)... The Kiriakis dummies hold on to Titan - amazingly, Tony DiMera lets them! (I figured
he was going to hardball them with an all-or-nothing gambit.)
GH - Semi-plot twist! Erika Slezak (formerly the matriarch on OLTL) has
been brought on as, basically, Monica Quartermaine's replacement, since Leslie Charleson's passing - Slezak plays Monica's completely heretofore *unreferenced* "estranged sister" (talk about a retcon!), and Monica
leaves the Quartermaine estate to the sister in her will! (Like Tracy Q, this smells like too much of some kind of con for it not to be!)... Meanwhile, Michael offers Willow limited supervised visitation with
their kids - I'm surprised Willow didn't lose it and stab Michael in the
eye on the spot!! And Anna seems to be closing in on Willow as the prime culprit in Drew's shooting after Anna blows a hole in Nina's attempt to provide Willow with an alibi. (I will actually love it if Willow is the
one who tried to waste Drew and has just been pretending to be nice this whole time!)... Josslyn blows Vaughn's cover to save her own, and Carly
is livid with Jack Brennan for not telling her that Vaughn was an
agent!... I can't figure out where they are going with the Britt and
Nathan storylines (they keep hinting that Nathan is in fact the "Big
Bad" and then 180-ing those hints), but I wish they'd get on with it!...
Ric Lansing almost escapes from Ava's and Alexis's captivity, but blows
it by trying to get leverage rather than just running!!
Y&R - Jill is back, and I hope a house drops on her! Sidenote: The "new" season of Y&R has come to Pee+, and Pee+ just *evaporated* the previous season! (same thing actually happened with DOOL on Peacock) - As a
result, I think I lost about a week of unwatched episodes. So I skipped ahead to these recent Oct. ep's from the "new" season...
I also did watch the premieres of the "One Chicago" series on NBC on Wednesday night a week and a half back, and then watched some of the follow-up episodes this past Wednesday.

Tron: Ares (theatrical) - I watched this a few days ago. It's the third entry in the Tron franchise. Picking up 15 years after "Tron Legacy"
and 43 years after "Tron," this movie shifts focus to Evan Peters as
"Julian Dillinger," the evil grandson of Ed Dillinger from the first
movie. If I were to list problems with this movie, bringing in Evan
Peters to play "Dillinger" instead of bringing back Cillian Murphy's character, who was also a "Dillinger" would be at the top of the list. Anyway, Dillinger's evil plan involves bringing weapons and AI
characters from the "Tron" world into the real world. Dillinger's prize creation is "Ares" (Jared Leto). But Ares decides to break away from Dillinger and pursue his own agenda queue the Tron synth music and
wackiness ensues. Overall, I guess I liked it. Sure it's a bad movie, there's no denying that. But it sure did look good. It had the music
from Nine Inch Nails which did a good job of making me forget about Daft Punk.

Penn & Teller: Fool Us - "The Eyes Have It" - A new episode popped up on
my DVR. There was one trick worth mentioning where a magician had P&T
call out a lot of random items then showed a video of the magician
getting those items. The question being, how could the magician
pre-select those items on video before P&T named them. But I've seen
"The Prestige" and if you've watched that movie, there's a scene when a magician does an impossible trick and Michael Caine's character
immediately says how the trick was done. Basically that was me with
this episode. I almost instantly guessed how the magician did it,
because that's how they did it in "The Prestige." When P&T was talking
in code to reveal how they think the trick was done, they said something about "family" and that pretty confirmed my guess. At least, I'm
assuming my guess was right.

entertaining, and this is one of them.-a By the way some characters come
and go, I suspect a huge chunk of the movie was cut out in editing, and
I would really like to see an expanded version that restores Cameron Monoghan's character.-a There's just no way you cast Monoghan, put his
name in the opening credits, and he's only in the movie for about a minute.-a He clearly had all of his scenes cut!-a Except for one brief 60 second moment.-a And Gillian Anderson's character (Dillinger's mother)
was completely wasted, but again I assume huge chunks of her scene were
cut out of the movie.-a Anyway, they were clearly setting up a Tron 4
that would tie in "Tron Legacy."-a I hope they get to make it.

Interesting. If thatrCOs how it worked, itrCOs pretty much a one trick pony. >HerCOs not going to be able to build a career on it.
SWIFTIES ARE FURIOUS TAYLOR SWIFT ISN'T MISERABLE ANYMORE:
Nina and Jessie react to a video criticizing Taylor Swift's recent life choices. They dissect the arguments, offering counterpoints and humorous commentary on the perceived shift in the singer's public image. The hosts engage in lively debate about the creator's perspective.
