I know that sounds like some kind of epic troll but I just saw that
tidbit in this short video - and couldn't believe my ears:

What the living FUCK???? This is the first time I've ever heard of the United States allowing a foreign military base on US soil and Qatar is
not just *any* foreign country, it's where the top Hamas leadership
lives and has been hosted in luxury for many years. Qatar is also
believed to have spent close to $2 billion funding the pro-Hamas
protests for the past two years.
I thought people were pretty livid when they found out about the Chinese police stations in many Western countries - including Canada, the US,
and much of Europe - but this would seem to be at least an order of magnitude worse. How could they possibly justify this?
I've gotten used to Trump moving in mysterious ways but this has me completely baffled.

That was my initial reaction as well though while I don't know whether they're still doing it, Canada used to give the Germans CFB (Canadian
Forces Base) Brandon as a training base for German armor. (Western
Manitoba having a lot more open flat land than what was then still
West Germany). I saw German soldiers all the time in the Winnipeg
airport with a few buses labelled "CFB Brandon" in the airport parking
lot when I lived there in the late 1980s.
I agree with you on Chinese secret police offices (aka the "United
Front Work Department") in Canada - and from what I've heard pretty
much anywhere there is a Chinese diaspora in a lot of countries beyond
the US and Canada.
