As we know, Emmanual Macron had called snap elections in France when
his party had major losses in the election for European Parliament
members. After the second round of voting on Sunday, the leftist coalition >>came in first, but they are no where close to a majority to be able to
    form a government.

France has a 577 seat National Assembly (the more powerful of the two >>houses of parliament), so 289 seats is a majority. New Popular Front >>(leftist) won over 180 seats, Macron's centrist alliance retained more
than 160 seats. Marine Le Pen's far right coalition holds over 140 seats,
a significant improvement over 89 seats that they held previously.

I don't know why the newspaper article won't report the specific numbers
    of seats each group won.

The prime minister Gabriel Attal resigned, because that's required when
a government cannot be formed. But Macron refused to accept his
resignation and kept him in place as head of a caretaker government.

Summer Olympics begin within three weeks and the French will look
foolish in the international spotlight. Will Bismark invade?

It's France so antisemitism is on the left and the right, and I'm sure
in the center too. Macron's party hates the hateful types in Le Pen's
far right coalition that they formed a coalition with the hateful types
    in the far left coalition.

There are so few Jews in the world that we are thought to be 0.2% of the >population. The peak Jewish population, before WWII, was never higher
than 17 million. Today, Israel has 7.2 million and the United States 6.3 >million (largely in the New York area). There aren't significant numbers
    of Jews anywhere else.

Where would you meet a Jew in France to have that level of hatred?

There are a group of countries with a Jewish population in several
hundred thousand and of these, France has the largest population, but
that's a huge drop from millions in the United States.

In France, the leftist coalition includes Communists, Socialists,
    Greens, and now Islamists.

I saw a video of Islamists celebrating the new governmental coalition by >demonstrating to expel Jews from France outside parliament. The Chief
Rabbi was so disgusted that he declared to younger Jews that there's no >future in France and to emigrate.

Let's just declare liberalism dead in France and possibly in the UK
in which Labor beat the Tories, although Labor has clamped down on
expressing antisemitism out loud in recent years.

Could we please try to hang on to what liberalism remains in the United >States? Please?

Leftist-center coalition isn't holding. The prime minister of one month
did a cabinet reshuffle, displeasing all members of the coalition, then promptly resigned.
