    WE ARE THE 80'S

    WE ARE THE 80'S

MANDALORIAN & GROGU: WHY DISNEY FAILS WITH MEN:
Star Wars Mandalorian and Grogu is Disney's attempt to bring
their Disney+ show to the cinema. Rather than make a Season 4
Mandalorian and Grogu will instead be a movie that judging by
the trailer, focuses more on Grogu than The Mandalorian himself.
For a long time people weren't even sure if Pedro Pascal was
confirmed to play the character. But is Baby Yoda what the
Star Wars audience wants? Is Mandalorian and Grogu worth watching? https://youtu.be/8LueXA9rvfo?si=5d9aCVo7bPFjVL7k

THE WEIRDEST KIDS MOVIE EVER? - THE PEANUT BUTTER SOLUTION (1985):
On this episode of Weird Movies With Mark, I talk about The
    Peanut Butter Solution (1985)

12 CDS FOR A PENNY: WHAT REALLY KILLED THE COLUMBIA HOUSE MUSIC CLUB?:
Remember 12 records for a penny? Getting a stack of CDs for virtually
nothing? Back in the day, joining the Columbia House Music Club felt
like the greatest cheat code in music history.

But for a massive company that once controlled a huge chunk of CD
sales in America and beyond, how did giving away music actually
make them millions? And if their business model was so shrewd... then
why did the Columbia House disappear?

In this video, we're revisiting Columbia House and digging past
the "penny deal" to uncover the real reasons this industry giant
crumbled. It's a story of legal loopholes, aggressive tactics,
and the one enemy they simply couldn't defeat.

    #ColumbiaHouse #vinyl #cds #asseenontv https://youtu.be/-bHwCxcJS2I?si=JaL9SEG5ppJh8Cyt

    MAMA'S FAMILY:
"Psychic Pheno-Mama". The psychic Madame Rita claims to be
communicating with Mama's late husband, but Mama has her doubts.

    MAMA'S FAMILY:
"Take My Mama, Please!". When Mama heckles a nightclub comedian, she
gets a chance to take his place behind the microphone. I'm surprised
Mama got so stressed out about it because she got quite a few laughs in
an earlier ep talking about her loser family.

    THE LOVE BOAT:
The crew (including Julie's replacement and the photographer) get to
work on a British cruise. The only interesting story involved Loretta
Switt hiring a hooker to entrap her husband she suspects of cheating. I
am sure that's illegal or something.
o "Return of the Captain's Lady". Captain Stubing receives important information about the woman (Pat Crowley) he is considering marrying.
o "Love Ain't Illegal". Dick Martin takes his business partner and
girlfriend on a cruise, then leaves her to take care of business
at the office, but it turns out it was a ruse to embezzle his company
    and frame his partner.
o "The Irresistible Man". I man gets raped by a woman in a broom
closet. or did he? I didn't care.

    KRAPOPOLIS:
"Bobageddon". Shlub wants boba and mobilizes an army; Tyrannis prepares for his demigod ceremony on Mount Olympus.

Good to see King Shlub and Stupendus bonding.

I am sure I've seen the Tyrannis plot before, and we know what his demigod power is already: producing flowers.

I've always heard that it was
    because too many of us
    learned we didn't actually
    have to pay them.

    I haven't watched much. I got
    to my intended destination
    and found it uninhabitable,
so I dragged my mother out
and into a hotel. I've been
    letting her control the TV.

I did watch some of the UK
    version of Ghosts. I enjoyed
it, though I think I prefer
    the American version. I do
    like Ghosts UK's Jemima, a
    child ghost. She has added
    good notes several times, and
    I wonder why she wasn't
    carried over to the American
    version.

    They carried the ghosts
    (except Jemima) over as
    types, but didn't carry over
    their specifics. Lady Fanny
    isn't much like Hetty.

    I've already imprinted on the
    American version, but the UK
    version's good, too.

In the latter half of the first decade of the 21st-century, I got a bundle
of discs from Columbia House at MomrCOs where I was staying and taking care
of her. I called them and had a long and interesting conversation with a
guy who said this happened to them all the time and the Scam was that
somebody would order a bunch of discs sent to your house and keep an eye on your house and when they arrived, sneak over and get them out of the
mailbox. This seems dicey and given that mom lived on a five house
cul-de-sac of mostly retired people it seemed even more unlikely. Anyway,
he said they would send me an envelope to return them in, but they never
did and I never heard anymore about it.

The thing was it was something like the science fiction and action
adventure bundle with movies like Pirates of the Caribbean, all things in series that I would enjoy and had not seen. But it was also all DVDs so it
    was standard definition.

    I haven't watched much. I got

    Thanks. A contractor came out
to the house today, and he's
    willing to rush dealing with
    the leaks which are damaging
    the structure. I still have
no idea what all this will
cost, but one thing at a
    time.

    Folks, don't neglect your
    aging parents. They may say
    everything's fine because
    they genuinely don't know it
    isn't. Deterioration can be
sudden. You need eyes on the
scene at least every year or
    so, no matter what they're
    saying on the phone.

The former. The kitchen floor had been absorbing water for months,
    and it's unstable and dangerous to walk on. One toilet is broken;
the other is revolting and has to be filled with water by hand.
There are fruitflies, spiders, and mice in the walls. The smell
of mold, rot, and mouse poop is unbelievable. There are piles and
piles of books and clothes everywhere, with just some paths among
the piles. There are thick spiderwebs in every corner.

She's been living this way for God knows how many months, and
she didn't realize anything was horribly wrong. She thinks she
just got behind on her chores. Meanwhile, her neighbors were
wondering if she had any children they could contact, while her
idiot sister knew exactly where to find me and apparently couldn't
be bothered. I will have some words for her when I find time.

We're in a hotel now, and a renovator has viewed the property.
It can probably be salvaged, though it'll be expensive. He's
willing to rush dealing with the water leak (and I'm extremely
grateful), but fixing all that will take a while. I'll need
to find us some transitional housing while that happens.

I'm looking forward to getting back to vegging in front of
    a TV. :)

That's scary to think she didn't recognize the issue. It's one thing
to choose to live that way but another when you can't even recognize
the issues. The books is a common issue, but the other things.. Ugh.

We're in a hotel now, and a renovator has viewed the property.

Good to hear that he can rush dealing with the water as it is the true
home killer. The rest can be dealt with but water coming in to the
home will kill it faster than almost anything else. I saw what it did
with my family's old house that us kids grew up in, when there was no
one taking care of it and a leak happened in the roof. Didn't take
that long before the roof in that area caved in.

I'm looking forward to getting back to vegging in front of

    Thank you.

It's her old fridge. She has always known where the leak was,
but couldn't figure out what to do about it. She bought a
new fridge, and it was delivered, but the store was unable
to remove her old one as they would usually do.

Apparently they said the old fridge was too dirty for them
to take. I never knew that was possible, but it is in fact
disgusting. I saw bug eggs inside. That must have been at
least a few months ago, judging by the extent of the water
damage, so she's been unable to manage for some time.

Well, see, I don't have one. My employment situation has
