28 YEARS LATER into the 'rage virus' scourge, the UK is reduced to a
barren near-medieval landscape. For his 12th birthday, a village boy is
taken into the wild, armed with bow and arrow. Like its two
predecessors, this zombie flick was directed by Danny Boyle, and thus
highly anticipated by me. I even found a few quasi-subversive elements
in what's basically an adventure tale. But now I've learned that this
movie is the first of three (and the only one from Boyle), so my "finds"
may well have been delusional. Disappointing, but mostly recommended.

I took my godchild to the movies to see this one, we already saw '28
Days Later' and '28 Weeks Later'. '28 Years Later' was a big
disappointment. I've got Days and Weeks in my DVD collection, but I
don't think I will add Years to it.
