Lesson number one they taught us on the firearms range: you're responsible

every bullet you fire. Never shoot unless you can see your target and always

So I *did* understand that correctly! Thanks for confirming that.
It seems that the police did about the same amount of damage to the
innocent people at the synagogue as the terrorist did. That's a VERY bad
look for the police.
Someone's head should probably roll for this fiasco unless they can
prove the circumstances made it utterly necessary to shoot through the
door. The officer(s) who took the shot(s) should probably lose their
jobs
Unless they can articulate some extraordinary reason for their actions, they shouldn't just be fired, they should be sent to prison for manslaughter at a minimum. If it were up to me, they'd get 2nd-degree murder.
