Interesting, esp. considering that "Original Sin" wasn't badly received.

I liked it. It was particularly fascinating for the acting challenges of
all those younger actors playing the actors playing the characters from
Dexter. Christina Milian (LaGuerta) in particular knocked it out of the
park. Now Nolly Brown played Deb as a different character but she was
still a child so the viewer could accept that. With Christian Slater, I
always see Christian Slater.

There was a hell of a lot of retconning with Dexter's character. Still,
I wanted to see the brother become the Ice Box Killer, a plot from
Dexter season 1 I'd forgotten.

Having read the article, I'm calling bullshit on previous Showtime
ownership "renewing" Original Sin but not allowing them to set up a
writers' room. What the fuck does that even mean? You renew. That means
you order scripts, approve them, then schedule production. If you don't
even order scripts, what commitment did you actually make?

Have you ever noticed that everything said by a programming executive is
a bald-faced lie?
