It's clear the native British people are getting increasingly angry
about migrants and flags (among other things). I've heard commentator
after commentator express concern that tempers are on a knife's edge and that they fear this will erupt into major open violence.

The UK government has launched an official Flag Complaint Hotline for anyone triggered by British people being proud of their heritage:

It certainly is when they tolerate mass Muslim prayers in the street
just outside the main entrance of a Catholic cathedral.

If the Brits MUST prosecute "hate crimes" that sort of thing certainly qualifies.

Only if the 'rainbow' is properly maintained.

We have one outside our public library that is badly worn out and

Are they whining about how disrespectfull it is? When Black Lies Matter graffiti'd up an intersection in town, it was only a few weeks later that
the vandals were whining about their precious graffitii was scuffed up,
taking it as a personal insult. [eye roll]

That roundabout reminds me of one we have in town that's more like a small circular speedbump in an intersection.

Why not when the British government hasn't prosecuted those who used
search lights to spread their propaganda by projecting against Big
    Ben?

    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8t6tmu

which is far far worse than some of the prosecutions for "hurty words" especially the Lucy Connelly case where she was jailed for 3 years for
a terrible tweet that she had removed before the police saw it -
though others had screen capped it and sent it to the police.
