    What did you watch?

    Hey, thanks for asking!

    MISSION IMPOSSIBLE THE FINAL INSULT

Huge overly long, sprawling mess of a movie with rogue IMF agents trying to defeat Facebook Meta. ItrCOs mostly comprised of people telling Tom Cruise that if he does, this, herCOll die horribly (he does it and doesnrCOt die) and
if he lets this happen, herCOll die horribly (he lets it happen and doesnrCOt die.). Over and over again.

The most confusing part to me is that one of the bigwigs is named Briggs, presumably, after the first leader of the IMF, but is secretly revealed to actually be Jim Phelps Junior, son of the second leader of the IMF that the first movie which was a pile of garbage revealed to have been a traitor all the decades he ran the thing. I thought maybe they were going to undo that and make Briggs the real bad guy, but they skipped that opportunity so it still makes no sense whatsoever. And as it accomplished nothing, they shouldrCOve just left it out.

And the last shot as they all walk away, they really really really really really should have turned the camera upside down.

I think they had a completely different movie scripted, and probably
filmed, then it was chopped up and edited into what made it to the
screen. In spite of the obvious editing issues, I liked it. But I hope
to one day get to see the original version before they it in a blender
    and set it to random.

The guy who wrote the last Mission Impossible movie was supposed to be
at the Vegas Star Trek convention signing autographs. I was hoping to
meet him and ask a question or two about what happened with the movie,
but for whatever reason he was a no show.

I often wish we could also get to see the movies that were originally
planned in addition to those that got released. Just to see how much
they differ and which is better. Does the studio influence actually
improve the quality of a movie or is it better left untouched by
people not actually involved in writing/making the movie.

Would be interesting to hear what he had to say. Though likely best
asked after the movie is out of the theaters.

Possibly because he knew people were going to ask about the blenderizing
    of the movie?
