• News: Geezus - Julian McMahon Has Died, at Just 56

    F*** cancer.

I really liked McMahon (I've been with him all the way back to
"Profiler") - he was taken too young.

In retrospect, this does likely explain why McMahon left being the lead
of FBI: Most Wanted a couple of seasons back. He's probably been
battling this cancer for a couple of years.

    This sucks. :(

Indeed it does suck and it does likely explain why he left the show.
People who have the money to put on a good defense seem to last a few
years before it finally takes them, if it is going to do so.

This is terrible. For an Aussie, he did a good American accent. I liked
F/X. I forgave him for Fantastic Four.

    Very entertaining actor

I didn't realize he was an Aussie. I remember him most for Nip/Tuck. The
show got a little weird at times but he and Dylan Walsh always did as
well as they could with the parts they had.

I was always annoyed that they didn’t let him use his natural accent or at least some accent as Victor Von Doom who, for God’s sake is supposed to
    have an accent!

I see it, three hours up stream. Ian also posted about Mark Snow hours

Besides Cox just improved the wiring outside and it no longer works at all. They’re telling me I should buy all new equipment. So I’m out of the TV business anyway.

Between that and losing my citizenship and voting rights and my ninja Foodi dying. I had a really bad day yesterday.

shawn is correct. Here are the headers:

Subject: News: Geezus - Julian McMahon Has Died, at Just 56
    Date: Fri, 4 Jul 2025 15:50:03 -0700
    Injection-Date: Sat, 05 Jul 2025 00:50:15 +0200 (CEST)

    Subject: Doom is dead
    Date: Fri, 4 Jul 2025 16:02:40 -0700

Not to mention, Fantastic Four (2005) was not a good movie and was
a waste of a good cast, so the reader would think of the actor in far
    better projects first.

Here are headers from the root article in the Mark Snow thread.

Subject: News: X-Files (and also Blue Bloods) Composer Mark Snow Has Died at 78 Date: Fri, 4 Jul 2025 15:56:47 -0700
    Injection-Date: Sat, 05 Jul 2025 00:56:47 +0200 (CEST)

I spent some time looking for any mention of Mark Snow outside that
thread since his death but couldn't find any.

A subject line of "Doom is dead" is not as informative as "Julian

Ah, you posted it with an unexpected name. Your post arrived at 7:02
while Ian's post arrived at 6:50. Hence more responses to Ian's post
since it would be more likely to be read first. LOL. I even responded
at 7:04 so it's likely I hadn't even seen your post.

My timestamp says I posted more than three hours before Ian

So somehow your post got lost in the Intertubes for 3 hours since
myself, Ian and Robin see your post arriving ten minutes after Ians.
Did you have some alcohol near your computer when posting? Maybe the
post got drunk and then headed off in the wrong direction when
    posting?

The good news is you can always buy a new Ninja Foodi.

No, you can’t. They killed the entire line all models.

Hmm, perhaps but I still see many versions available for sale online
from a Ninja Foodi EG201 6-in-1 Indoor Grill & Air Fryer for $220 at
Target to a Ninja Foodi 6-1 8 and 10 qt, 4-1 and others. Even a 6-in-1 Flexbasket air fryer with 7qt basket for $160 from Amazon.

So maybe Ninja isn't making them anymore but there seems to be pletny
of stock unless you had a specific item that is out of stock now.

    I would say
there's a chance that Cox will improve one day but we know that isn't
going to happen. I don't think you lost your citizenship, just your
voting rights. Which does mean no jury duty for you! So it's not all
    bad.

I am too old for jury duty anyway

Hmm, why would someone be too old for jury duty. I get being too
unhealthy or too young but not sure why anyone should be considered
    too old for jury duty.

I'm guessing you were using the pressure cooker since that's the line
that I see might be canceled. But if you buy right now you can still
    get one
    https://www.amazon.com/Ninja-Foodi-Quart-Pressure-Cooker/dp/B0DXN3DXW1
the 10-1 Pressure Cooker Air Fryer.

Never tried one of those myself, but I can see why they could prove
difficult to make perfectly safe with that sort of pressure in such a
    small container.

You’re seeing the new line of stuff that they replaced what I had with.
Mine was a 14 in one that does all the stuff these other little guys do as
well as sous vide and pressure cook and all sorts of good things. I’d have
to buy a half a dozen of them to replace mine, which may well be their evil plan.

Actually, I was both right and wrong. There is an age cut off at which you
can just say “sod off. I’m too old to beon a jury“ and they have to excuse
you, but I’m not quite there yet. But you can still do it if you want.

    Anyway, I’m too unhealthy.

That’s mine’s baby brother in every sense of the words. Tough to fit a prime rib in there. :-)

    I do appreciate the effort.

Amazingly eBay has one, and only one, like mine and it’s near Ubi, 2330
miles from here, and they won’t ship. Local pick up only.

Never tried one of those myself, but I can see why they could prove

They still make the metric 220 V model and sell it across the pond
